I found this at experts@about.com: "The date of the set is on the back of the glass on the mirror to the dresser. The mirror backing has to be removed to get to the back of the glass itself. The date will be in dark gray on the glass itself." I'm not sure how much trouble this would be to do, but it would give you a start anyhow. Good luck!

I think your furniture placement will be all right, ncamy. I suggest a few things: 1. get slightly smaller club chairs than the current "overstuffed" size. (I've always wondered who that furniture is for, as you can only actually sit in the space provided and the arms and back don't add to one's comfort!) 2. Get chairs that swivel, so you can move them to and fro according to the light in the room, and 3. put one ottoman between the two chairs. You can face each other and use the single ottoman and still watch the screen, or you can put a tray on the ottoman and use it as a side table for the two chairs.

Thanks, cpartist! I appreciate your input. I feel like the hallway is exceptionally short, but I guess it's better to have more room for door-swing into the bedrooms? The longer windows would give me a sill height of 27" vs 31", which means that I couldn't fit a desk beneath if I wanted it there. Though I think I could raise the windows a tad so that they are 28-30" sill height, but don't align with the door height. Would it make more sense for that height to match around the room?

I don’t really have a style (I guess it’s casual coastal?) however I can tell you what I don’t like.... ;) -anything too trendy (current grey) -painted furniture (looks nice but I prefer stain to see the wood grain) -anything too much a theme (eg, beachy... don’t get more wrong, I love a coastal vibe but not a beach theme..make sense?) -too much white and no color or warmth of wood -not modern/contemporary but not traditional So hope that helps and makes sense! Bottom line is I would prefer a non matchy look but not too eclectic either. That’s why I got an upholstered headboard (vs wood part of a set). But I figured I could do different colors/stains on the nightstands vs dressers. So now I’m to the point I think I have a plan to hopefully get than casual coastal vibe, warm wood stain but not too dark to keep it coastal. And a bit of fun in a chest of drawers. And Suezbell, great idea about maximizing storage and the wall mirror! That’s my plan :) Again thank you!!!
