That is the scariest thing I've seen since the movie "Aliens" LOL! I didn't even know cosmos HAD tubers. But from looking I think you're right on circling the yellow parts as what would produce upward growth. My guess on the purple circled roots are a younger set of roots. My guess on the red circled part is an older root. And the green circled clump: my guess would be the original little clump that has gone on to reproduce the red and purple circled parts. Lots of good looking white roots in there too, so they must be healthy. I would guess you could separate this mass into at least 3 plants, but like I said, don't know anything about cosmos tubers. Can you inquire at the bulbs forum here?

If you want to have two matching stands on each side just get two baby dressers like the third photo. They are 36" like you are looking for. They won't clash with the full size dresser you already have. Oak baby furniture is not as common so you will have to do more Googleing to find them. I would not put a solid black or white painted ones in the space. To harsh with oak. If you want to do a painted piec get one with an oak top to blend it in a bit with the oak you have. I think a deep painted color like the second photo could bring in some pop to the room but NOT with two of them painted the same color. That would be overkill. If you are putting a nightstand in front of the window you should stick with swag valances. Swag valance would look cute on the window by the chair. The comforter looks like it leaves a gap at the bottom and does not hit the siderails. I thought it might be the wrong size. I had to live with a full size comforter on a new queen size bed for a long time until I had the money for a queen size one. I thought maybe you were just using this one until you found the right one for the new bed. One thing to consider when shopping for a queen size comforter is that even though is says 'Queen' on the label it may not be the right dimension for the new deeper mattresses they sell now days. Something to look out for when ordering online or through a catalog. Check the measurements. They can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Black with oak top dresser nightstands also available:

Wow, SquirrelHeaven, you've been busy again! Thanks! We're heading over to Pottery Barn this weekend again to see what they have in store. We went about a month ago to check out the Bird of Paradise set but we felt it looked bit too traditional for us, and again, we are hoping to find a whiter background. I too like the Hat Pin set and really did order it twice, stopping at the credit card entry part both time. I could live with the background if the online image didn't look like it has a pinkish tint to it. Since I am a graphic designer (sadly without any interior design talent), I have two color balanced monitors (Mac/PC) that I work with. They, along with my laptop read the background with pink tones. Alrighty... I have been to JC Penny's (and a dz other stores) and am having trouble finding the right shade of grey. BUT- I have had no trouble finding blues!!!!! Would it be possible to bring blue into this room with window treatments and maybe a rug? These WT are from JC Penny's... they are not the right length, I just brought them home for color. It's a blue/grey... WDYT? Wide, just so you can see the color. and here they are more "closed" which is how I would hang them. I'm a little concerned they look "random"... like, where did I get the blue from? Thoughts? Also- we got our triple dresser. And *shudder* we got a new TV. We are not a big TV family (in fact, we just went from 1 TV to 2) but I like to watch the news as I get ready.... I know, I know... many of you are cringing. So am I. Until I get to watch the Today Show in the morning... I am feeling much more informed! ;) It's a beast. I also got a cute little (faux) orchid on clearence at Target. WDYT?
