"Heartbeat" - the TV show

Note to producers: If you want me to watch a new show, give it the time slot just following Jeopardy. That's how I started watching "Heartbeat," a show about a female heart surgeon. I gave it a good shot--three or four episodes, a lot for me--but I'm quitting.

Have you seen this show? What do you think of it? There are some heartwarming moments, and the star is very pretty to watch, but I find her irritating! Making up an emergency to get a police/fire escort to the hospital just so she can speed in her Porsche . . . always making up her own rules . . . that sort of thing. The character is based on a real person, but hoow did someone so silly become a cardio-thoracic surgeon? (I wouldn't want her performing surgery on me.)

And the ongoing "torn between two lovers" issue is too much. She has a fiancee who bends over backwards to be a good stepdad, and you know she's gonna break his heart.

So goodbye, Heartbeat. I'm going back to turning off the TV after Jeopardy.

Most medical shows are ridiculous, but I did get sucked into Grey's and the Denny story, ha ha. Too bad "Denny" is now the vile Negan on The Walking Dead, oh well he is still a hotty. I just love watching medical shows when there is no anesthesia person during a complicated surgery, or the surgeon tells the anesthesiolgist "We're losing her, do something". Lol, like that would ever happen. Surgeons have no idea of the patient's condition during a surgery, unless the blood starts turning dark. And that is a very bad thing to have happen!

I watched one episode and thought the same thing - the character was too outrageous and obnoxious for me to care about her.

With ALL the blindsides....such as last night....I don't know why idols are not shared more freely to save your ONLY alliance. The blue team was awesome to solve the stacked puzzle when they were so far behind. Nice job blue team! I honestly would NEVER want to play Survivor. Too much trickery going on. Also watched. I like that they vary in length. No "filler" to make an hour or half hour show. Have you watched Capturing Home? Classic Homes? I've watched a few Bespoke Inns, but they are hit or miss. Same with Storefront Stories, and Storied Spaces. Can't say enough about Saving the Manor. (FYI, I watch(ed) these on Discovery+) ETA: I just started watching Old World Homes while having breakfast. A new favorite.

I've tried some youtubes also, and I agree it's hard to sort out good ones mazerolm, I wonder why gardenfit shows as not available for you.... here's another link, might be the same one - I hope it works ! (maybe that links to the current season 2 - I'm able to watch season 1 on pbs.org so I'm not to season 2 yet - not super tech savvy here ) https://www.pbs.org/show/gardenfit/ In the meantime, we have turned the real corner into spring and I'm enjoying being outside in the sun myself , although there is still much snow to melt it's going fast, whew!

I'm a little thrown by this. I love the exterior style of the home and the back story of a funeral home. It is a historic home with a slight eeriness to it. The designs inside are wild and in a strange way, I really like it. Does it go together - no, does it really go in this house- some elements, do I think they will easily sell it - no. I do enjoy the works of a design mind that really lets loose!

I didn't even last a full episode - it was silly, far-fetched, cartoonish and watching the actress pouting for 15 minutes really irked me. I also stopped watching Grey's Anatomy after the episode ark with Katherine Heigl and 'Denny.' However I did start watching again and I think it's gotten better.

Heartbeat was just too far-fetched for me even though it is supposed to be based on a real life. I stopped watching after three episodes.

All of the "teasers" that were shown leading up to the premier were enough to make me realize that I wouldn't like the show.

Heartbeat is an NBC show, and in the greater Sacramento area, Jeopardy is on ABC at 7:00 p.m.. The show immediately following Jeopardy is Wheel of Fortune which we never watch (can't stand Pat Sajak).

The commercials for it made me roll my eyes. Oh, puleez. It's just so unrealistic and frankly crass when it comes to real doctors.

Sleeper - did you watch The Good Wife? Jeffrey Dean Morgan, aka 'Denny' has been the male heart throb this season. Alas - it's all over now.

Not sorry to hear that. But uh-oh, Lindsey . . . I like Pat Sajak! I hope we can get past this. LOL

I get Jeopardy on NBC, with Wheel of Fortune broadcast just before it.

Oh, I thought you were going to talk about the British series "Heartbeat" which is centred on a little police station in a small rural town in Yorkshire UK in the early 1960s. You might look that up, it's good.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Halle Berry were why I watched Extant, even though the story line got really lame really quickly. He's Nevin on The Walking Dead now --- uh oh!

Morgan does nothing for me. I watched him on Grey's, Extant and Good Wife. Sorry, nothing. As for Heartbeat, I've watched a few episodes. While I think the main character is very pretty, I think the show pretty much stinks. I would not want her operating on me. >>And I do not like Pat Sajak either.

To each his own, Lily. Save him for me, lol. Maire, I never watched Good Wife, but it is a show I want to binge now. I don't know why I never watched it, it's the type of show that appeals to me. We just got HBO now so we could watch Game of Thrones, so I have many many possibilities. And summer should come one of these days, I'll be outside more than inside.
