Would polished nickel sconces blend with chrome in a bathroom?
Comments (21)Just another note.... If you have shiny chrome fixtures and can't or don't want to match light fixtures to chrome then don't. If you try to match another shiny material it looks like a wanna be. Go with silver but make it a brushed - something similar but in fact different in its own right and it won't look like a wanna be. Just like the finish on the silver mirror in your picture it is brushed not polished and shiny like the fixtures....See MoreBathroom remodel - Faucets polished chrome and lights brushed nickel
Comments (3)Yes, you should mix metals, but I would do more of a contrast than chrome to brushed nickel. If you're doing chrome for your faucets and shower fixtures, then pick something more interesting for the other hardware like oil rubbed bronze or gold. If you pick things too close together sometimes it looks like you were trying to match and just slightly missed. Make sure the difference in metals shows that it was intentional....See Morepolished nickel bathroom fixtures - do sconces have to match?

We are painting the bathroom a very light beige and replacing all the current chrome with either brushed nickel or black (vanity light, towel ring, TP holder and faucet) and I can't decide which....See Moremaries1120
