Yuk! Black slime coming out of bathroom faucet!
Comments (11)I would call my water supplier if you have municipal water. For a few weeks I was detecting an odor coming from my faucets. I called the water company. Two men came out and took various samples. It turned out that I had very high chlorine content. They also took samples from my taps that had filters and those had much lower levels of chlorine. They explained how that happened, it was very interesting to learn what was going on at the water co. If you have private well water you're probably on your own, but if it's public you should probably call them to see if they'll inspect your water and/or test it. If many more people are having this problem and calling in to them it might tell them something....See MoreFaucet for bathroom - chrome vs brushed nickel
Comments (14)Well believe or not the fixtures are so $$$ in the brushed Nickle I was shocked. I have oil rub bronze in my perm home With no problems of spots. And I honestly was going for the brushed nickle and somehow this chrome has got my eye since it will have a coastal setting. So I guess I thought I will try the chrome . While I'm crossing my fingers and toes :) faucets / showers have really gone up in price. Those remodeling shows are killing us ! well I picked Kohler Bancroft K-T10577-4-CP. faucet. And K-T10581-4-CP shower head/ tub faucet for one bathroom anyway. I went to take a look at it in person and I really loved it for this bathroom. Master bath. Used Subway tiles in there 4x12. Staggered In between I put a decorative band of 4 x12 black white gray and some white sparkle glass tiles , Thrown in around the tub/ shower area. And around the mirror so I'm hope these chrome figures give some bling. We are on the water. But not ocean. I wish !!!!!!!! Thank you for all the imput truly appreciate it...See MoreBathroom fixtures with matte black hardware?
Comments (4)Hi Angie, I'm in the same boat as yourself. Have a new build and decided on black cabinet hardware and black door knobs. But I am unsure about the bathroom faucets (we have the option of Nickel, Chrome or Matte Black). I was leaning towards the black faucets everywhere but did not want it to look too black and white. Can i ask what did you end up deciding? If you have pictures, i would love to see....See MoreShould I change my chrome faucets in my bathrooms to brushed nickel?
Comments (8)I have both chrome, brushed nickel, and brushed stainless steel throughout my home. It all blends well. When I had all my bathrooms renovated a few years ago, I kept my 30 year old solid shiny chrome towel bars and hooks, as they still looked brand new, and matched well to my new Minka Lavery pivot mirrors ( which I love). I did get new chrome faucets....See Morestefaniebogles
