Today I am finally comfortable with putting my Adeniums outside. Marica has asked for an update on my Dino plants so I thought a new post for the new season would be appropriate.
Thong Tonnam is already begging for a repot. This one has filled out quite nicely.

Peth Phunlan is also begging for a repot. I love the muscular look of this Arabicum hybrid. Flowers are sweet too.
Peth Dino is happy to be outdoors and getting some real sun. I have 4 of these in route of varying color of caudex. Can you tell I like them?
Dino King has grown with one wild branch I am going to have to work to balance out. This is a result of not rotating her in the tent.
Say hello to Maneeratana v2. She is a hybrid of Chada Petch and RCN. She has blue leaves with red backs and is one of my additions from a different Thai seller, very few of these exist in the world. She is certified and serialized!
Another Maneeratana v2. I should mention that these plants naturally produce centipede style roots.

Comments (81)Thank you everyone for coming to the swap. What a difference a weeks makes. Couldn't have been more perfect weather, especially after last weekend. It was and is my pleasure to host the swap every spring, and plan on doing so for a lot more years. Agnes you beat me to the link with the recipe. Tara, now what good is a large yard with grass growing in it. costs money to keep it growing, way to much water to keep it green and we end up with water bans, restrictions all over the place, so how do you water the lawns?, patch the lawns and keep the grass seed wet so it will germinate, seedlings grow etc. Yup, tis why my front lawn looks like it does. We've had permanent water restrictions in town for years and years now and there is a fine for watering on the wrong day. Trust me, the town is eager for money and they travel around just looking for someone watering on the wrong day. If I'm going to water on alternate days, then it's going to be water used to grown my plants and garden beds, not lawns. Zazheen, not a problem with the wagon. Melissa took it with her, got in her car and now the kids have it. Melissa, thanks but no thanks, the wagon is yours, but as Mark said, he would love to see pictures of the "newly renovated wagon" when it's done. 8 years agoI have a few tiny variegated seedlings that have grown so extremely slow. They are sensitive the the amount of light they receive . Too much and they drop their leaves. Well believe it or not one of them is producing blooms! It needs a repot but I dare not til the blooming is complete.

I have been selling plants. Mostly A. obesum making room for my growing Arabicum collection. Every family member that visits leaves with a box FULL of seedlings. Some return to fill their box again. I also sold some at my plant club. I managed to sell a few of my Thai imports that I has duplicates of. We have a large public sale for the club coming in June and I hope to clear out many A. Obesum then.
Its pretty funny that when I posted my Dino's on FB offers began coming in. I sold a couple to make room for my RCN that is
currently in route.
Hope the weather breaks for you soon.

7 years agoTracy - Do you grow your Adeniums in Gritty Mix? And, when you keep Adeniums indoors that are in fabric pots, how do you let them drain?

7 years agoRob I do not use gritty mix for my Adeniums. I use what I call a chunky mix. It's made of half coir pieces and chips, half Growstone GS2 and large perlite sifted. I'm attaching some recent photos so you can see the size of the pieces.
Indoors I use jumbo garden trays under my fabric pots. I buy mine at Greenhouse Megastore online.
