Comments (6)I think they should have sent Rahdney home, bro! haha Joaquin was nasty also. Rodney is worse. And the post man guy, crap, can't remember his name, (Mr. Banana Hammock, gag) he is an idiot. Talking to Sierra, trying to get her back to their group and he comes off with "Shut your mouth and open your ears and just listen", I'm not even going to type on here what I would have said to him, lol. He really doesn't get it does he? I still don't like Sierra though. Not ever a fan of throwing a challenge, although I can see the one guys reasoning, to save their teammate on the other tribe. But history has shown once you throw a challenge you end up on a downhill losing streak. Rodney's reaction at tribal was priceless! Like Shirin's was last week. I love it. Hurry up next Wednesday....See MoreGrammatical error on Jeopardy last night. The shame!
Comments (10)I don't think most people would have noticed what you're pointing out, alisande. Grammar is dynamic, I know you know that. It happens often that an incorrect approach comes into frequent common usage and ultimately replaces an older form. Or becomes accepted as an alternative. The examples of this are too numerous to mention. Many of the changes that evolve from common usage result from the speech of less well educated people who use a phrase or structure incorrectly because they think what they're saying is correct. That spreads and can become the predominant practice....See MoreJeopardy last night
Comments (23)Socks, thank you for remembering some of my traditional posts! I watched the Golden Globes this year, but I think someone else started a post about the dresses. This year we were out of power during the Oscars, so I didn't get to see it. As for the cocktails, my Lyme doctor cut me off alcohol (and bread, peanuts, and some other things), so I haven't enjoyed a fancy mixed drink--or even a plain, boring, blah drink--in a couple of years. I still enjoy making them occasionally for my family at gatherings, although I suspect they'd be just as happy with a nice wine or a good IPA. Was the "Where's Waldo" guy in the past week? We were without power for five days, so during that time the Jeopardy contestants had to come up with their answers without any help from me. :-)...See MoreJeopardy: What happened last night?
