Thanks so much Bea...See MoreIochroma Question - Anyone else have this problem?
Comments (4)It's in a pretty good spot for morning sun, but it does get bright sun up until noon. Maybe I'll move it to the other end of the bed with more shade, and see how it does. zenzilla, how do you root your cuttings? Do you stick them with rooting hormone, or start them in water? This one was rooted in water, but I've never gotten another one to root in water. I stuck some once, and a couple rooted, but then they got too wet and rotted. If you have any rooting tips, I'd be happy to have them. I already know they take a long time to root....See Moreiochroma
Comments (1)Yes I've grown it, and it certainly didn't flower in the first year, second or even third according to my memory. Anyone here have a source for started plants of popcorn cassia-Cassia didymobotrya? I trialed some of these in my home garden last summer and man, for use as an annual up here in the north, they're hard to beat. So I placed within my work order a request for 25 plants. All looked good until a couple weeks ago when the grower informed me they couldn't get any. Some kind of crop failure maybe, or a bigger dog came along and took them all...I don't know. In any case, there's still just a little time for me to try and source some. They were to be the star of the show in some large containers we put out every summer. I did make a substitution-to those Iochromas I referenced earlier-but I sure would still like to find my original idea. Anybody?...See Morewisconsitom
