My purple one does. I couldn't figure out were the wonderful smell was comming from the last couple of years so I looked it up and it says iachroma is fragrant. I have an umbrella by mine and it traps the smell and in the morning when I'm under it watering my zinnias I can smell it. It is quite large though

I live in zone 9 in the south of the UK. I grown iochroma outside all year round and it blooms and grows away really happily. I was wondering if anyone knows when is the best time to prune it as mine has gone berserk this year. In the past I have cut it right back and it has responded but depending what time of yer I do it sometimes its flowering ;is reduced. I am thinking of doing it now because the rain is almost constant at the moment but the temp is around 8 degrees which is really quite warm for the end of November. Any suggestions?

Thanks everyone for the information. I do grow tomatoes and petunias and all, guess I just need to know what is and what is not. I have a ton of grandchildren, want them safe. I guess I'll stop worrying so such.( I still will) I have a koi pond that I watch like a hawk when the sweet one are at my house.
