Sometimes I think that I thrive on fretting about the roses. The ones that are the healthiest I don't get the satisfaction of worrying over and giving special attention. I bet you take excellent care of them Sara-Ann.

I'm the same way, Sara-Ann, and have moaned about my roses many a time over at the Antique Roses side. It's because we care about them so much, really not much different than fretting about one's children or pets. They're a very significant part of our lives, and we all understand your feelings, and share them.

I barely have leaves. Congrats.

Thanks! I seem to have quite a few roses that are vigorous growers, and others not so much, but I can see improvements in a few.

I think something I need to learn, is that even though I might like a particular variety, it might not be a variety that was meant for me to grow, that's difficult for me to do. Unless something dramatically changes with Heirloom and Angel Face, I should definitely SP them. I am especially disappointed with Angel Face, because it looked so good last fall. What you both said mudpie and Ingrid, is true. I do have to remember, they are just plants though.
