Thank you everyone for your comments. I've bought Jude the Obscure as a non-climbing variety to go with the rest of my English roses. I already have Graham Thomas, planted it yesterday with room to expand and grow big. My Golden Celebration is in it's second year, has many buds, they are not open yet, I'm so much looking forward to it. I've bought both New Dawn and Eden, they are beautiful and I couldnÂt help it. Since New Dawn seems to be a bigger plant it'll go onto the wraparound trellis. Eden will go behind the English roses, I'll have to come up with some kind of a separate trellis for it. I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow and post them. Thanks again, your comments were very helpful.

Not all that common here in California, but it is sometimes seen in southern California. The actual name is x Ruttyruspolia 'Phyllis van Heerden', and it is a hybrid between Ruspolia and another genus. It is not very frost hardy, and did not do well for me here in the SF Bay Area, probably due to lack of heat, which it prefers. So I would say it is only hardy in USDA zones 9 and 10, and then only areas that actually have hot summers. Ruspolia comes from the subtropical, summer rainfall areas of South Africa, very similar to Florida conditions.

It’s weird, I have one bush that really struggles, and the same bush that’s like 10’ away doing fairly well for the location (roadside)..the one that’s doing bad I blame on a maple tree that used to be right next to it..I just cut that tree down last year (hated the thing anyway) and the bush is doing a little better...not tremendously better..but I’ll know more after this growing season...this is also the bush that had issues with mildew (the healthy one never has) but again prior to maple tree being cut down...after tree gone, no mildew..it’s weird.

Ok I found it and I had posted there also and I see now that it is believed to be Highlight. But no one mentions a fragrance/scent as a personal experience, owning one, and of course the sellers say Highlight smells good. But never on Armani which makes me wonder if it actually is Highlight?
