WANTED: Swap-a-Que - October 19th - swap list #2
Comments (150)Hey everyone, I will not be able to come to the swap this weekend. I just got back from the vet and my doggie is not doing so well...apparently her spine is degenerating....anyway I can't leave her alone all day. For anyone that I was trading with I'm very sorry but hopefully I will make it to the next swap. If anyone is in the Miami area or passing through and would like to pick up their plants I am available and we can make a bar-b-que out of it....See MoreWANTED: Plant Swap : Sept 3 : Pre-arrange individual swaps h
Comments (97)Hi Everyone, Sounds like a great day for our plant swap! I will be bringing some hand-crafted things for the doorprizes - an autumn welcome slate, a candleholder with a scarecrow painted on it, a hand painted concrete stepping stone (painted with outdoor safe paint), and I plan on picking up 2 pots of mums. If Heather would like, we could use her crafts as well, for door prizes. I wish she would contact me. I am bringing pickled beets and eggs as my dish. I also promised to bring some trash bags, so I will bring those. So far, I have potted up a lavender (Lady is the variety), a Blue Boy Garden Phlox, some pots of a shorter variety of Shata Daisy called Silver Angel that I started this year from seed, some pots of rooted cutting of Coral Carpet Rose, and like Cathy, I will be bringing some named daylilies and irises in plastic grocery bags...will be digging them tomorrow. I may have a few more things too. Hope to see you all there. Linda...See MoreNews on The Middle TN Plant Swap
Comments (38)Gee, I wonder how many pounds of batter, gallons of milk, pounds of butter and gallons of syrup we'd need for 400-600 pancakes? Ya know I was just thinking that I really don't have enough to do in the next five weeks and especially the day of the swap and was wondering what in the World I'm going to do with all that excess time on my hands. Maybe YOU would like to organize that for me! I REALLY do appreciate your interest in it and for bringing it up!!! Maybe you and I can discuss that at length in person on the 17th. Doug sayes that you are the QUEEEN of pancakes and would love to handle it for me. I heard that your moniker in Knox County is Mrs. Bec Butterworth and Aunt Jemima Holder. In the meantime... the park has a very nice restaurant that starts serving Breakfast at 7:00 am! There is also The Country Diner and Becky's Family Restaurant right up the road in Chapel Hill. Remember to tell them that you are with the MTPS and that in October Bec will be making pancakes for the MTPS and everyone in Maury & Marshall Counties at HHSP!...See Morenew to plant swap
Comments (5)Paperart, I'm not sure which swap you are referring to. If you are planning to attend the East Tennessee Plant Swap, lots of information can be found on our website, www.easttnplantswap.com. I will provide a link below. If you are near Nashville and plan to attend the Middle Tennessee Plant Swap, their website is www.midtnplantswap.com. It also has lots of information about that swap. If you are going to the Memphis swap, I don't think they have a website yet (I could be wrong about that), but I'm sure they will be happy to provide details if you ask. There is no need to register for the ETPS. We have a great swap forum available on our website that allows people to pre-arrange swaps, and it would be great to visit there before you come. You can get an idea of what others will bring and what they might be looking for. You are welcome to post your own list or respond to any of the other swappers. And, yes, we do swap seeds. Seeds probably aren't a main focus, but I always bring some and look for anything special that I might like to grow. If you are coming to the East Tennessee Swap, drop me a line and I'll be happy to answer any other questions you might have. Here is a link that might be useful: EastTnPlantSwap.com...See MoreGretchen W.
