Please help me pick curtains (and other decor tips) for my office
Comments (14)Hello! This is awesome information, thank you all so much!! ttodd - so you used fabric glue instead of sewing? Was it messy? Do you think it will hold over time? I was thinking of sewing it as I have never used the glue. charlieinnj - wow! That looks great! I'd like to try this as well. Sleek/comtempory...yes this is exactly what I am going for. Yes, the quilt wall hanging may not work! LOL! I'll have to break that to dh. Ok, about the fabric repeating exactly...I wonder if one 84" or 96" curtain panel will be enough fabric to accomplish this? This is a curtain panel that I found, not fabric. blondepegasus - yes, I will have the yellow ribbon on the curtains, the yellow in the fabric wall hangings, yellow pillows on the chair. I'm so excited to get started on these projects!! Thanks!! Elaine...See MorePlease help me choose a wall color for my home office!
Comments (15)kristinamaria and teacats, you are on the same wavelength. I think I will do that... find the fabric first. And teacats, I absolutely LOVE THAT FABRIC. Seriously, I LOVE it!! I am going to go back to that site in a minute and see about a sample. Thanks for linking that. I luv my GW friends. :o) You all are so helpful. Each person has something to share that I had not thought of/had not realized. Thanks for sharing all of your advice. I'm going to find the fabric and see if I can get my green in the fabric, and then I think I'll go with whatever blue the "experts" have put in the fabric. I'm just not the best with paint colors. Thanks! ;o) mrsrose, I am headed out the door in a few minutes, but will post a few kitchen shots on here later today for you to see. Thanks for the compliments from you and lindybarts too. ;o)...See MoreHelp me with my office...please!
Comments (8)Since the room is large and bright -- perhaps a deep chocolate brown would make it more cozy -- then add LOTS of lime green accents (like your storage box and waste basket) Find a bright green and white fabric to cover the new "inspiration" board ..... Check out: Benjamin Moore - "Mink" -- #2112-10 Benjamin Moore - "Taupe" -- #2110-10 Both of these are rich deep colors and would work well with the accent tile in the cork flooring....See MorePlease help me to finish my home office❤️
Comments (8)So some simple changes are get a pedastal for the plant to raise the height to desk level or above and get an arc lamp for over the sofa. A collection of attractive large-enough storage boxes or baskets on top of the room divider book case might be cheery. Or some wire sculptures (do you have one there?) Funky animal decor It’s tricky to put a rug under an office chair with wheels, but in your case it might be worth it to do that to warm up/boho-up the vibe in the room, and then put a transparent office mat under the chair so the wheels glide This have any appeal? Fun rug I would get a perpetual calender or a chalk board for the blank side of the room divider bookcase....See Morewritersblock (9b/10a)
