Getting hair off clothes in washer/dryer?
Comments (9)I use a combination of things in my clothes dryer-I use one dryer sheet (any brand) plus "dryer balls", They are 2 plastic balls, like tennis balls but covered with points. They make noise bouncing in the dryer but keep the lint down. I had a huge lint problem when I accidentally washed a load of laundry with one of my husband's used Depends .(Luckily it was wet not soiled0 Tiny white paper balls ended up on everything. I found the dryer balls in a local hardware store. Plus I and my 2 daughters all have longish hair, plus one dog and 2 cats to add to the mix. Good luck finding a solution!...See MoreSick of Cleaning Pet Hair
Comments (10)I feel your pain! We bought a new sectional sofa even though we work and are gone during the day, so there was no way to prevent our badly shedding dog from lying on it. I covered it up in the a.m. with an old sheet. When company was coming over, I'd remove the sheet. Otherwise, we had the sheet on for about ten years, until the dog's arthritis got bad and she couldn't jump on the sofa. After she died, we got a non-shedding, non-allergenic dog, a Wheaten terrier....See MoreHRT-weight gain-facial hair-time to get off?
Comments (1)Hi - I don't know if HRT causes facial hair, but I do know that menopause can. I've lost it where I want it and gained it where I don't. So I guess it's called FEmale pattern baldness. As we age, our bodies produce more androgens (male-like) properties which may cause an increase in hair growth on our chin and upper cheeks. Just what I want - to shave as often as my husband - NOT! Increased testosterone and decreased progesterone. How much change can our bodies go through? Soy Isoflavones seem to help me. Over 40 million women in the US have unwanted facial hair. I think if we can get our hormones balanced we should be okay. Bobbi...See MoreHow often do you wash your hair? How about never?
Comments (54)I also really love the Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo, it's dirt cheap and doesn't harm my very delicate fine hair. I just stumbled upon it too. I had bought it for my husband and he didn't use it so I had this huge bottle and used it and was surprised at how well it did for my fine hair and plus, it doesn't make my scalp itch, that has become an issue for me. I also found a conditioner that I love, it's Martix Biolage, the detangling one. Finally, a conditioner that doesn't make my scalp itch AND actually takes the tangles out of my insanely tangle prone hair. I used to shampoo daily because I styled my hair every day. Now, I just put it in a ponytail and call it done. I wash my hair about every third day now. I'd be very afraid to put baking soda in my fragile hair...I'm sure it would destroy it. I once (ONE TIME) used Dr. Bronner's liquid Castile to wash my hair and it damaged it so badly that it had to grow out before it was normal again. UGH! I'm lucky that I have hair, don't get me wrong, but my hair is very weird! My scalp is also very oily...so I cannot go very long without washing. Three days is pushing it and I can only pull it off because I wear it in a ponytail. I also can't stand the smell of stinky hair...UGH! It gets stinky after a couple days. That's when I know it's time to wash!...See MoreUser
