I got 1500.00 for my used furniture. Now what would work here?
Comments (8)Beekeeper-When my kids were little I was so lax about them walking around with food and crayons. Now I am a drill sergeant. "Let me see your hands" is what I say after they've eaten and are about to sit on the couch. I make them wash their hands even if I don't see anything. I will definitely go with slipcovers, being that I'm as strict as I am. Thank you! I will try and find a code or ask someone. Polly929 on a previous post, and who has the penney's slipcovered sofa, mentioned she cleans the cushion covers in the wash. I think the company posts "dry clean" as a precaution but that's just my guess. Macy's now has the Lucie slipcovered line in stores. Unfortunately at this point the company doesn't make extra slipcovers. This collection looks just like the one at Penney's but they are just ever so slightly different. Thanks for the info! Here is a link that might be useful: Lucie slipcovered line...See MoreWould an 'exchange' work here, do you think?
Comments (16)I would be interested.... SAMA does a Brown Bag Exchange every year at their annual conference. It is really fun. I actually worked as a volunteer at the table last year. I loved it! I got to see first hand what some of the artists got. Some were extremely thrilled....others not so. But is a chance you take. You fill a brown paper bag with whatever you wish to trade. Some people decorated their bags so those went first. You couldn't see what was in it...just suppose to pick one out from the table. Some were filled to the hilt with really cool things....others had a single plate or some special rocks from exotic places in the world. I think it would be fun especially for those who aren't able to get to the conference. It would give them something to look forward to! Becky...See MoreWould this painting work here? Comments (45)Woof @frito gordito. that comment was way to harsh and fairly unkind. Clearly you were not considering the poster's feelings. I hope you just made an internet posting rookie mistake. rule of thumb is to be kind even when offering criticism. That aside the picture is gorgeous and it adds a chic contemporary look to a very traditional dining room. My suggestion is to move the buffet to under the window. this will occupy more real estate for the furniture in the room. Frame the art and lower it almost to chair rail height. If you have the option get a slightly smaller rug so the dining set does not get drowned out by the rug. My only criticism is that the dining room is so amazing and so large, a table that sits 8 would have filled in the space better. But, that I know is not always an option....See MoreWhat breakfast table and chairs would work here
Comments (1)Hi! This kitchen looks great and will blend well with matching brass hardware! For the table, a breakfast nook might be a good option for that space. A large dining table might obscure the access to the garage door but a nook will allow sitting and dining while using the space to capacity. A white nook with a dark table top or bench may assist in creating a cohesive design with the cabinets. Hope this helps! Best of luck!...See Morerockybird
