Please help me choose a paint for my new living room
Comments (4)With beautiful windows like that I can't help but think of bringing a color of the outdoors in. Have you seen BM's Baby Turtle? Bit of tan with a hint of green to it. Or what about BM's Wilmington Tan - it is a really nice color (I have this in my bedroom). Or another nice color is BM Desert Tan - this one is on the lighter side but it is very pretty (I just purchased a can yesterday). It is hard to say really without seeing your furnishings or an area rug if you are planning on having one. Good luck it really is a beautiful area. Have you seen the color threads in the gallery section? Super helpful. Cheers. Haley...See MorePlease Help me choose a Backsplash for my new kitchen!
Comments (11)I realized it was granite after I posted and held the notebook closer! lol Using hex tiles would be interesting too, but square would look fine also. Have you glanced through the FKB? Lots of ideas there. Oh..and my manners; I was so busy copy/pasting/looking at photos, I forgot to say your kitchen is beautiful. Comments (30)Your granite looks nice--lighter than in the photos I was able to find. I would keep the paint. The two tones look nice from the perspective of the living room. You could do any size subway tile or other shapes. Keep in mind that your kitchen is traditional. I'm just now noticing the beadboard back to your peninsula. Your stove wall is the focal point from the living room so you might do something above the range. This is Ickaisgirl's and I like the tone on tone and textural interest the smaller tile provides. A popular look is subways in a herringbone pattern under the range. This one is done very well in that the herringbone fills the under-hood space. A single row of subways act as the frame. The rest of the subways are laid straight. This is very pretty. A row of 4 x 4 at the counter. 2 x 6 as the field with decos as accent. You can get away with a little more detail since you have very little area to tile. You'd do a light cocoa color instead of pale green. A photo of the stove wall would be helpful. If you want to explore tile, a new post will get you more responses....See Moreplease help me choose a paint color for my kitchen, please!!!!
