Thanks so much for the input and sharing photos. I'm so at a loss here as to what to do! I've actually considered all the colors mentioned in the thread at one point or another, and it's tough to imagine what it would look like covering your entire house! That's a lot of surface area. I also get so influenced by the name of the color. Does that happen to any of you? For example, if the name of the color has the word "cream" or "ivory" in it, I'll consider it more seriously than if the color has the word "yellow" or "gold", even though the latter might be more of what I'm looking for. Isn't that weird. Ponydoc, I actually really like how vanillin and inviting ivory look in your pictures. I worried that there wouldn't be enough of a contrast between those colors and my trim, but I can see from your pictures that there is contrast. I really like Jersey Cream, but I worry that it will read more pale yellow than cream, which is what I'd prefer. I was pretty sold no Napery, but it just didn't seem like there was enough contrast between that and Dover White. I agree that Compatible cream is too gold (as a previous poster mentioned) for an overall color for our house. I'm going to use it as accent color though. Why is this so hard! Ok, I think I have one more day to make up my mind. Any more pictures would be so much appreciated! Thanks!

Wow! This takes me back! We have a warm yellowy cream stone and the same siding as you. I made a giant mistake and had the whole board and batten and other siding painted Gray Owl. It looked horrible. I then asked the painter to use a color I cannot remember and he only did one coat and that was the end of it. Also only in the front, which was fine by me as that was really all it needed. Now all I see is GRAY! Someday I will need to remedy this. However, we still have so much to do on our new build that is still not finished. Either way I hope you find a color you love! Sometimes you just have to buy sample paints and a lot of them to figure out what you really want. Put them on every wall and look at the from every angle on any time of the day. That includes sunny and cloudy days. I know from experience how hard and frustrating this all can be! Here you can see how gray the siding looks. Which is fine. However the front is what really matters. Of course, I haven't a pic of it. I would trade you my gray for your yellow! ;)

Hi Beverly, Here are some more pics I took of the house. The way it is situated on the lot, mostly you see the tall garage from the street. I took another angle so you could see the entryway too. The front door is new, so I haven't stained it yet. I plan to do so after the painting is done. Patricia, thanks for your advice! I am new to the PNW, so it never occurred to me that a white house could look dirty and mildewy, but that does make sense. I like the look of limewashed brick, so did not think it could potentially devalue my property. These points are definitely some things I will need to think about. Thanks for your pic too, the house color of your pic is nicer than my current house color. But I have never been a fan of green houses. Are there other colors that work with reddish brick? My current house color feels very dark and heavy given the constant cloudy days. I would love to achieve a light and airy coastal feeling, if possible. I would love suggestions. My painter got delayed because of rain here, so I have a few more days to decide on colors. thank you!
