We used a SW soft yellow called Hawthorne Flower (Martha Stewart color) that might fit the bill. (We used a little Meyer Lemon as an accent in our kitchen, but in quantity it'd be blinding)

What about SW 6120 Believable Buff? It will not scream yellow. It looks nice with white. This is the color that I used in my home ;) I mean, the main color. I used an accent color in the kitchen and also in the foyer (small walls).
I have a sectional in the living room and the color was blending a bit with the believable buff wall so we painted that specific wall in SW6121 Whole Wheat which is just a bit darker than B Buff - no one can tell that it is another color, but my sectional does not blend with it.
Ivoire is that, just a creamy color.
I like compatible cream but it is goldish.

We used SW Ivoire. Our doors and trim are all stained rather than painted.

We used two different SW colors that may work for you Inviting Ivory- which was more yellow and Vanillin which is more ivory in my opinion. They are on the same strip. We used the Inviting ivory in the kitchen and the vanillin in the foyer, up the stairs, in the upstairs hallway and in the guest bath. It'a a very nice color.

It may not appear so but the vanillin is lighter- more ivory and the Inviting Ivory is actually more yellow.

Mine's Dunn Edwards I think, but they all have each other's paint codes to match. This is Champagne. We have a darker trim instead of lighter.

Thanks so much for the input and sharing photos. I'm so at a loss here as to what to do! I've actually considered all the colors mentioned in the thread at one point or another, and it's tough to imagine what it would look like covering your entire house! That's a lot of surface area. I also get so influenced by the name of the color. Does that happen to any of you? For example, if the name of the color has the word "cream" or "ivory" in it, I'll consider it more seriously than if the color has the word "yellow" or "gold", even though the latter might be more of what I'm looking for. Isn't that weird. Ponydoc, I actually really like how vanillin and inviting ivory look in your pictures. I worried that there wouldn't be enough of a contrast between those colors and my trim, but I can see from your pictures that there is contrast.
I really like Jersey Cream, but I worry that it will read more pale yellow than cream, which is what I'd prefer. I was pretty sold no Napery, but it just didn't seem like there was enough contrast between that and Dover White. I agree that Compatible cream is too gold (as a previous poster mentioned) for an overall color for our house. I'm going to use it as accent color though. Why is this so hard! Ok, I think I have one more day to make up my mind. Any more pictures would be so much appreciated!

I would not pay too much attention to the names.
For example:
Latte... Do you know what latte means in italian? Milk.
It would be different if they call it caffelatte (milk with coffe, that is the color I am talking about, a dark khaki color.

FWIW, I'm building right now as well and using SW Ivoire throughout my home. I was on the messages boards for weeks trying to figure out the same thing - a creamy yellow that wasn't too blah, but didn't scream yellow. Ivoire just kept coming up over and over again. Jersey Cream (from what I remember) I really loved on the swatch but it looked more yellow than what I wanted for the whole house.

I also am having Dover White as my trim color!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went out and bought samples of Ivoire, Compatible Cream, and Jersey Cream and put them on sample boards. Unfortunately, that still didn't help me make up my mind! At times, each looked great, but at other times I'd start seeing things that I didn't like--too yellow, too tan, too orangey. I feel like I'm going to end up buying samples of the entire SW deck before I'm done. The problem is that the light changes constantly. May be I should just close my eyes and pick one? Any more photos? I think I just need to see the house painted in each of the colors. If only it were that easy....
