Benjamin Moore's Edgecomb Grey is a greige. You can try some paint samples. I recommend BM's Natura line, or something similar.

I love using Rugh Design when trying to find coordinating colors. She suggests SW Wordly Gray and SW Anew Gray: https://www.rughdesign.com/color-wheel/Creamy/

Have you given any consideration on painting the walls and trim in Creamy? Just change the sheen? Or do Creamy on the walls and a cleaner white for the trim?

The gray trend does seem to be coming to an end and whites are gaining popularity.

I personally am not a fan of Agreeable Gray with Creamy.

Thanks for the suggestions. To be clear, I'm not going to change the trim color, because we're not repainting all of the trim. So, I am stuck with Creamy for the trim color. I just need to choose the wall color, and it has to be something that can go with Creamy. I like Agreeable Gray, but am not sure about using it with Creamy. Most of the suggestions are the more beige grays, which I don't love. Just not sure what to do ....

you don't have to replace that color. all of what is posted will work.

the only way to be sure is to grab some samples.

You don't want cool, blue-grays, so stick to the grays on warmer side of the color wheel.

If you don't love the beige grays, then do more of a neutral silver gray.

I appreciate the advice, but I feel like I'm getting more and more confused (and panicked, as I have to make a decision by the end of the day). In putting the samples on the walls, BM Revere Pewter looks the best. It is darker than I had planned to go, but really looks best with the trim. I'm leaning towards going with that, but when I compare the chroma of Revere Pewter to the SW Creamy, it is actually pretty close (.98 to .91). So, is it not ok to use those colors together?

Also, since the master bedroom has a door on it, I can go with a different color in there. Would it be ok to paint the walls the same color as the trim (SW Creamy)? I think it would brighten up the room, and look good with our rug and bedding.

I think there is such a difference in Value there it will be just fine. Just make sure you try a large sample of Revere Pewter in your space before you absolutely commit. It’s a FAB colour but in imbalanced light it may shift purple. It doesn’t do so in every home but it can happen. It isn’t purple and doesn’t have purple ‘undertones’. It is an effect of the quality of light. In your soace it may just look like the neutral that it is. 🌈

The difference in chroma guide is most helpful when working with white on white or white with off white. NOt necessary when there is a big difference in Value. Good Luck!

Thank you, Marylee! I have tried samples in various rooms in the house, and I think the Revere Pewter will work. The only other solution I can come up with is to repaint all the trim in the house plus the kitchen cabinets, which is getting to be more than I wanted to spend.

Any thoughts on the second question? Is it ok to paint both the walls and the trim in the master bedroom and bathroom the same color (i.e. just paint the walls SW Creamy, which is the same color as the trim is)?

I have Revere Pewter lightened 25% with Creamy trim. I wish the room was a little lighter but anything lighter tended to make the trim look more cream/yellow undertoned. This room faces south. Hope this helps!
