Making interior sliding doors

Hello all

We are building our own house, and to save $ will be making our own doors. There will be at least 10 doors. Well be making them about 230 cm high. They will have lexan or some other large opaque plastic center panel, possibly with a kickboard along the bottom. We'll mount V rails in the flooring, and wheels inset under the door.

We have a bunch of old, yet well hand-made shorter doors (about 180cm) that we could recycle with some modifications. They have MT type joints at the corners. I would need to join 2 doors along the thin edge somehow to accomplish this. Or create a lower kickboard portion and splice it in.

Or I could scratch build them. I saw a kind of overlap corner design made from 12mm plywood strips that looked doable.

Any ideas?
