Using sliding doors on interior

ilmbg

I would like to use sliding doors on the interior of my home when I build.
I have the typical sliding door on my current barn now.
How would I have an interior door that affords privacy to the bathroon/bedroom? There is a substantial gap between the door and wall due to the top rail. Doors are meant to give both sight and sound privacy...
I called Real Sliding Door , Co, and they had no answers.
Would also like to use a slider to open a whole wall of the new home. When the slider was open, the room would be open to the world, but when closed I would want it to act as a 'wall', just as a sliding glass patio door. How would I make the sliding door 'tight'?
Hope this makes sense to you'all!
