January, 2013 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (19)Here it is the last day of January, 2013! My oldest grandchild is 33 today....WOW! I'm with you girls that want to finish up the projects that have already been started. Eventually, we'll get them done! It helps that when someone wants/needs a quilt that I usually have a top made (or almost made) that will fit the occasion. I have Katie's quilt ready for quilting...would sure like to get it completed today as DD plans to see her on Saturday. All the blocks are made for the Zig-Zag and I'm happy with how they all look together. As a whole, I'm pleased with how much I got done this month. How about you? Comments (7)Tough one! We have a wedding out of town in the middle of the month. DDG#2. His quilt has been finished for a long time and has been sent off by courier so we don't have to carry it with us. And we will be away for a week. Yesterday I hemmed three pairs of pants and there are a couple more to do. If I get those done, I will be glad. I have two tops that need sandwiching, quilting etc. I hope to get that done as well. I haven't sewed much lately and I am getting antsy to get back to the machine. We'll see how May turns out. Theresa...See MoreJuly, 2016 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (9)I need to finish up a baby quilt for my cousin's grandson who is due soon. It is on the frame now. The shower is the 16th, do I need to get that complete. I also want to go on a cutting spree. I tend to work better if I have everything cut up and sort of in kits so that I can just do a little at a time. I have a lot of red scraps, a friend getting married whose fiance loves red, and I have until November, so I think my cutting spree will include a bunch of red scraps. :) I am still working on putting Allietare together. It has become a leader/ender project, since it will go to my son and daughter in law for Christmas....See MoreNovember, 2016 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (6)In October I finished three of my Mom's UFOs. One was the lap robe she was crocheting when she passed away. I also finished a rag rug that just needed the last of the braid sewn into place, and I assembled 30 crocheted granny squares into a lap robe. (I still have nearly 200 granny squares!) For November I'll keep working on my Provence and Beyond quilt (the 12 applique blocks are half done!) and probably work on some more of those granny squares. My calendar is already full with music rehearsals and performances, and December isn't far behind! I will probably start the Quiltville mystery, too. Donna...See Moremsmeow
