I agree with the previous posters. The faux wood garage doors would look nice. I LOVE your front door, very classy! I notice you have 2 large urns you could place on the driveway near the garage doors to add depth and color, I'd use black urns with bright flower colors if you keep the doors, taupe or white if you change them. Same goes for widening your flower area along the driveway and give it some curve. You could add something that stays green in the winter since you get snow in Chicago. Try adding something between your daylilies, every 2nd one put in a shrub that has great fall color and summer flowers to compliment the color of the daylilies : ) You could add a mounded & curved bed to the left (in the open grass space) with a taller flowering tree/shrub and some perennials that flower at different stages. A dogwood or ninebark in the corner near the front window and entrance would look nice since they have nice winter color, great summer green and pretty fall leaves : ) Does the tree at the end corner have flowers, berries or interesting leaves? It seems to have some good height. Do you like clematis? That would look nice on that corner too, both sides. Your house and yard are great! A bit of curves and color is all it should take.

Here is another possible option for microwave cabinet on right of window side. above walls: 30 wide (42" high) below bases: 15 drawer then 2 ( 30 w bases) If this is the only cabinets in the kitchen, I highly suggest going to 42" tall with no crown to get an extra storage : 1 extra shelf per cabinet. Also under lighting really is functional as well. Here is a photo example how 42" white shaker look with no crown. I agree with yvonnecmartin (cookie sheet somewhere is useful) Don't forget fillers on adjacent side walls, they're functional,too. Hope that helps :)

A range top with an oven below is possible and you would need a cabinet but presumably you could get a cabinetmaker to do a matching one. This look is very trendy but I personally don't understand it - aside from aesthetics. The oven in almost all instances is placed lower than a standard range and there doesn't seem to be any increase in functionality for the trade off but it looks sleeker than a stove which is why people with limited space kitchens will do it. I have never seen it done where there is the ability to actually have a wall oven at a comfortable height. People who switch from gas to induction are generally quite happy after adjusting and there are real benefits to induction versus gas. One benefit is that if you are using a down draft, an induction doesn't need as much venting capability as a gas would. Of course what you cook is going to impact venting needs as well.
