Using LED Fairy Lights On Christmas Tree?

I got rid of all my fake Christmas greenery and now getting a real tree, garland and wreaths. My tree was pre-lit so I don't have any tree lights and need to buy some anyway.

I love the look of the fairy lights, they don't get warm, seems like they would take up very little storage space and be less of a hassle with putting them on the tree.

At Amazon, I found a 60ft/360 light strand that plugs into an outlet. Two strands should light up a 6ft tree pretty well I'm thinking. each strand is on sale for $54 - so kind of expensive but I'm not too worried about that. Especially since they are suppose to last a long time.

I can't find any info on using them to light a Christmas tree. What am I missing?

Can the strands be connected? Are they marked for indoor or indoor/outdoor use? That's all I can think of, but I have never had them. I do love the look. I'd go for the warm lights, not the cool lights (as in color not temperature).

No, the strands can't be connected. But at 60ft and only two strands, I don't think that would be necessary. I'm thinking about using one strand per side. Yes, they are indoor/outdoor. In fact, they can get pretty wet. I really dislike the cool lights, so only want the warm glow.

LED lights are very safe indoors. You will notice the one thing about leds, is that led lights never get hot. Enjoy.

We have two trees, one fully decorated in our best room with traditional Norwegian candles and ornaments on it (we celebrate all day on Christmas Eve and open presents after dinner), and a small table tree in our library room that is only decorated with small white lights. The Yule tree is pre-Christian in origin, but Christians adopted the custom after Martin Luther (supposedly) brought a tree into his home from the forest one Christmas. He put candles on it to signify Christ as light of the world, and the tree itself, being an evergreen, symbolized eternal life. The simple white lights and no ornaments are actually quite beautiful. One verse of a Christmas carol that I love describes a walk in the woods at night and seeing snow on a fir tree with stars shining above. The stars are the twinkling lights on the tree, mentioned in the song: "The twinkling lights that deck thy boughs Enchant me with their shining spell And in a language all their own The lovely Christmas story tells."

The test equipment isn't too expensive and can be used to figure out power supplies and electronic circuits. We are using fairy lights outside this year and they look awesome! I bought 34- 100 lite strings for about $6.00 ea. and they have an 8 function flash box on ea. one however DH bypassed it on some we wanted on steady. They are bright and lovely also bought on Amazon, but they came direct from China, came quite fast to.

Your link points to the lights on Amazon and the heading says

"Long Lasting for Christmas Tree and Room Decorations."

However, after reading some reviews, I am not sure you will get what is advertised.

I bought a small set at BBB for an outside planter. Now after reading the reviews about "weatherproof", I am going to make sure that my light cord and plug in are in a plastic baggie and hidden well under foliage.
