Laundry and hope to start decorating for Christmas.....it takes me a lot longer than it use to!!

I am not decorating for Christmas I don't think! We won't be having anything going on here for Christmas again this year.

I have a short list- cover patio furniture, pop some already stuffed peppers in oven, put up the Christmas wreath, We are going to a family birthday dinner tonight. I have to pick up a card and some flowers for the birthday girl. I did some online shopping this morning. Kitchen Table is my last stop on the computer. Tomorrow I may go to the outlet mall with DD. Whatever is on your agenda, enjoy yourself.

I am going to finish decorating the house for Christmas. I brought up all the decorations from the basement yesterday. Put almost all of it out and decorated 1 tree. I have another tree left to go and the nativity set up. Then I just need to take out my Christmas dishes and I'll be done. It's raining out so I'll be happy to be inside all day decorating.

Cool and drizzly here, too. I love rainy, gray days!

i've been busy in the kitchen. I have a pot of beans simmering on the stove, and I just made almond milk. Going to try to dehydrate the pulp (no dehydrator here) and make some almond flour- or at least, almond meal.

It's beautiful here but chili outside. I've been busy with my mom this week (early stages Alzheimers) and really need a down-time day. I may or may not do housework, I may or may not make muffins, I may just read. i don't start decorating the house until Dec.1st so I'll start thinking (or not) about that today as well.

Having Thanksgiving :) Due to schedule conflicts, everyone couldn't get together on the real Thanksgiving.

Cooking for the freezer, shopping online and wrapping presents. :)

After all of the cooking and cleaning earlier this week for the Thanksgiving meal, I am outside digging--my most fun hobby. I moved some toadlilies that wanted a better place. I planted my Thanksgiving chrysanthemums to see if they will overwinter--I love garden experiments. I took cuttings of begonias that I grow in big pots during the summer. The weather for Thanksgiving and this weekend has just been wonderful. It is 71 today just ahead of rain moving in for the next three.

I finally finished colouring a page in my Lost Ocean book (it was the page that didn't want to end), and just showered. I'm off to pick up a few Christmas gifts soon.

I've been downsizing my office and sorting through things that I no longer need nor want to have around.

I need to find a place to donate things like not very old textbooks on soils science, entomology, horticulture, etc. I've got a couple of microscopes, lots of slides, dissecting equipment, tons of office supplies.

That's my project for the weekend; I'd like to turn that room back into another bedroom.

We haven't left the house for 3-days due to ice. The GOOD news --- we haven't lost power! Yesterday we cleaned house, bathrooms, steamed the floors, attacked the basement and put together some things for Goodwill, then baked all afternoon (hubby is Superman when it comes to washing up ;-)

Today, put up Christmas decorations indoors, drank cocoa and listened to Christmas music, watched ROKU, had lunch, took a nap, had a bowl of ice cream (after all, if the electricity goes out, who wants to waste good ice cream!). We have a few more home projects, then we'll do laundry and hang it in the basement to dry and watch an episode of "Midsomer Murders" and maybe another show (not sure what) and eat popcorn - as regularly scheduled on Saturday night. Not sure if we'll be able to get out tomorrow, either. Can't quite get the temperature above freezing. It's been soooooooooo quiet because there's hardly any traffic out.

I am eating a bowl of leftover chicken and rice soup (Progresso) with cornbread and a Coke Zero while watching Glenda's Iron Bowl. Tonight I will watch Mississippi State and Ole Miss and ring my cowbell. I don't really have a cowbell but my brother who died last year did, and he always called me when State scored, to ring his cowbell. I loved to pick up the phone to that cowbell sound.

Like grainlady_ks, we have had this rain and freezing drizzle for 3 days and not to be over for 2 more! So I have had a lazy day...watched cooking shows from bed this morning, did a couple loads of laundry, put up Christmas decorations on the inside of my house, and talked on the phone to a classmate from high school. While putting up decorations, kept telling myself, "what you put up, you have to take down and put away"!...but sitting here in the glow of Christmas lights makes my happy.

Tomorrow, I am asked to attend another "Thanksgiving dinner", so did make some dressing and sweet potatoes to take. Guess I will go for something to do and be polite but I have a frig full of left-overs of my own!

I worked a twelve hour shift, then went to DD's house to let her dogs out. She came home and we dragged Christmas decorations out of her garage attic and decorated. Finally came home to my house (next door) and ate some left over (yummy) dressing and gravy. Brushed the dogs teeth, read a little on Kindle and checking out Garden Web.

Watching it rain, reading on my kindle, playing candy crush. :0 threw out leftovers (good riddance) :/ coloring, using my gel pens which I haven't used in awhile. My tree trimming is done, I do it for me Marilyn. :) I love the Christmas season. I'll either watch a Christmas movie this afternoon or maybe watch Downton Abbey. Did I mention. watch it rain? LOL

It's rained for almost a week here. Cold, about 32. We had a small Thanksgiving dinner today after church with DS and his 5-year-old son, ham and sweet potatoes. Pumpkin pie just now came out of the oven and smells wonderful. I think I'll go to the gym for an hour or so, and then come home and eat some pie! It all balances out.

I'll have plenty of ham left for supper tonight and then a ham bone to make ham and beans later in the week.

Watching the KC Chiefs (vs. Buffalo) on TV with DH and DS. They really get into it and whoop and holler. The Chiefs are an up-and-down team. High peaks, deep valleys. :)

Today DH and I went out for breakfast before he went to work on afternoon shift. I made cheesy potatoes and then went to DD's for a second Thanksgiving dinner, as they postponed it there due to her FIL and niece being ill. Had a nice late afternoon and evening, then came home and got the Christmas card exchange list emailed out. So if you signed up this year, check your email! Oh, and I washed the living room and dining room windows inside and out, except for the big center window. I am NOT getting on a ladder outside in late November in Ohio! I had not planned on washing windows today, but since I kept knocking down the sheers in the front window last night, and the darned spiders keep making houses in the one window, I said to heck with the sheers and left them lay on the floor last night and just closed the drapes. The plan was to clean out the spider mess in that window, and just wash the insides, but the spiders and the window had to change my mind. I had to take the screens out (DH had to do it before he left for work, cause I couldn't get them loose) so I could tip the windows in to wash, because the spider nest went up with the window so I couldn't get to it. I need to do dishes, but I think they are going to wait. Tomorrow I have to go get tires put on my Expedition, and get it aligned.

Yesterday? My son and I finally had our own Thanksgiving. And, I am waiting to see if my really old seeds will germinate. At the end of the day yesterday, the answer was, YES! 10+ years and some have germinated. Cool.
