I just came in from working in the yard all morning.As for dinner,havn't a clue,as DH is the cook around here,but i'm thinking maybe leftover,as we have enough of those in the fridge,and tomorrow is trash day so whatever is left in the fridge gets dumped.
Probably won't go back in the yard til after i pick up GS at 3:00 from school.

It was a runaround day for us. First to the Cigar store to get more tobacco and tubes, then to Petsmart to stock up on cat food and kitty litter, then to the Tractor Supply store to stock up on birdseed and a stop at Walmart for some washcloths for a project I am making for the grandkids. I'm ready for a nap. LOL

EX DIL and I are finally communicating re: my grandson and getting braces.

I volunteered at the hospital. Dinner will be salmon and asparagus. Right now I need to make a backing for a quilt. I finally got the top put together.

Played golf, went grocery shopping, took Georgy for a short ride in the car....she gets car sick so we are doing little rides to acclimate her. When we came home, we played frisbie to burn up some of that puppy energy. Dinner for me will be leftovers from Carrabera's last night. DH will probably have a piece of steak and salad.

Just got back from Virginia...spent a few days down in the Williamsburg/Yorktown/Jamestown area. Haven't been down for a few years, and really enjoyed it.

Not just the country's historical origins, but my father's family is from Jamestown - came here in the early 1600's, so it's my history, too.

We drove, and every time I go down there, i'm reminded of how beautiful Virginia is.

Trading stocks all day, market just closed. While I watch stocks I emailed my girlfriend several times....listened to Dave Ramsey then Dr Laura...watched "The View". Put laundry in the washer. Left a chicken out for dinner. Made tuna salad for lunch. Made plans with photo club to go hiking on Sunday @ 5am. It's snowing outside or I would have gone running....so now I'm gonna work out in my home gym.

Washed, dried and got the sheets back on the bed. Cleaned the kitchen and Florida room. I love my Haan steam cleaner! During my breaks I played on the computer.

Our DGD is getting married next spring and I have started buying them things they will need when I find good deals. They are so young--both graduating from college next year and are just starting out so they will need everything.

Today I got a Macy's sale brochure and ordered her a set of 24 glasses (just like mine). There are 8 each of 3 sizes and we really like ours. ($12.99) Also ordered her a set of Oneida flatware that had a bonus with it so it ended up she will have service for 12. ($99.00) Also ordered a large SS mixing bowl with a set of SS measuring cups and spoons ($9.99) Macy's has great sales! I want to get her a crockpot and a good set of pots and pans and little kitchen things as I find them. Every woman deserves a well-stocked kitchen.

Dinner tonight is baked cod with roasted red potatoes and peas or lima beans. Whatever needs to be used from the freezer, I guess.

Tomorrow's our run-around day. Besides groceries, we need to go to Barnes & Noble because we have at least $100 in gift cards we need to use. I know I want to read "The Help".

I worked in the yard all day today. Came in tired and filthy, i looked like the Pigpen character in Snoopy/Peanuts cartoon.

DH is the cook here, and i think dinner is leftovers tonight, fine with me. Whatever, as long as i don't have to cook it! Sue i used to love to go to Steak and Shake when we lived in Michigan!

Jennava, the Happy Hour makes it even better, between 2 and 4 a.m. and p.m. all drinks and shakes are half price!

Monica, I enjoyed your post about visiting in Virginia. My first trip to that area was on my High School senior trip. I liked Jamestown best. Interesting about your family connection to Jamestown.

We used to go to Williamsburg at least once a year to the Pottery. Is it still there?

I admit to being prejudiced, but I agree as to Virginia being a beautiful State.

I am waiting... not very patiently, for a great-grandbaby :-) I've skipped the step where you wait for a grandbaby (for the moment) because my own kids have yet to make me a grandma. Instead I inherited grandkids from my husband when we were married. Our oldest granddaughter (too young, but that happens) is making us great grandparents (Gary at 52 and me at 55). She's been in and out of labor for a month (started that way too early too) and labor was stopped several times. Now that she's close enough to her due date to go, she goes into labor but it doesn't progress or it stops and they send her home. She was in labor for 12 hours today, contractions every 2 minutes, but was sent home because she isn't dilating and was told to come back when the labor pains were hard enough that she couldn't breathe through them!

Other then that, I'm working the night shift temporarily, so slept from 8:30 am to 2 pm, waited for the baby and fixed ice tea for step-daughter gramma to be, and now am at work again.

I'm on a road trip. Got a great deal on a full size car. When I got to the counter they had just given it to someone else so they upgraded me to a Nisson Altima Hybred. Leather seats,sunroof,the works. It took less than a quarter tank to drive almost 200 hundred miles. I like the car but it has the tiniest steering wheel. The back of my hand keeps hitting the windshield wiper lever.LOL I'm used to trucks.

Tonight I went to a farmers market in the area. More like a street fair really. They have all sorts of vendors and community info booths along with the regular agricultural stuff. It is a small world. I ran into a friend of my son who owns a small business there. It was fun to see him. I also met a gal from a local goat farm. As well as milk and many different varieties of cheese they also sell lotions and things all made there with milk from their goats. I hope to visit the farm on my way back if I have time. If not I will next trip down.

I was the recipient of a random act of kindness. When I turned in my ticket at the exit of the parking lot the lady told me the gal in the truck ahead of me paid for me. Not only that but I got change. LOL So now I will look for an opportunity to pay it forward.

Tomorrow (later today actually) I'm heading further south. I want to visit few spots that are being redeveloped before they lose all their flavor.

Carol in Ca and I are hoping to get together on Saturday for a bit. We always have so much fun visiting. I'm really looking forward to it.

Sunday I haven't decided. It's pretty random which is what makes it fun. On Monday I'm heading home. Picking up a GF on Tuesday and we're going North for a day or overnight if I get tired.
