A Gift From Amiee♡

Amiee ordered me something online, all I know is its a powdered laundry detergent and its not a US brand, and it comes in a two pack, one to use and one to add to the collection. Shes also said she's only heard me mention it around her twice and that I will be so surprised I will scream LOL. Last she checked its supposed to arrive on time, tomorrow. I'm very excited and thought I would share this with you all. After the mail comes tomorrow I will let you all know what detergent it is, after I give Amiee a hundred kisses. LOL. My daughter is so sweet.

Lol...I wish I could afford to give her a credit card..but no I give her cash monthly or if she should ask, but Amiee doesn't ask for anything ever and I mean ever..well that's not completely true..she had a make a wish trip to Disney World Orlando when she wss 8 ..it rained daily and she ended up very sick on our 3rd. Day..she often asks if I think we will ever get to go back...haha..I tell her what Peter Pan would say...*Never Stop Believeing*

See how I go off topic when it comes to my Amiee LOL...She gave her friend the cash and she ordered it with her credit card. I didn't know about it till afterwards or I would have told her to go to dad for the help.

Yes I will let you all know what it is..I'm very excited and curious as to what she chose.

I just received a gift today, a pet supplement that seems to be some kind of practical joke that I have not taken well! I thought it might be a random promotion gone wrong, but Amazon told me it was sent by a person and not a company. They would not give any more details. The only option left that I can see is to deactivate my Amazon account and return any future Amazon deliveries to me unopened, with 'not known at this address' on them, because I will know that they are not something I have ordered. I asked the Amazon chat help person to send this comment to the sender so they don't bother sending me anything else via Amazon. I also asked them to share it with Amazon management but they didn't say anything about that. There is no option to block gifts, i.e. to only received deliveries from Amazon that you have ordered. They need this option in case someone is being harassed, which, in this case, I believe I am. It should be relatively easy to block orders not from your own account, but they said they can't do this.

She ended up with the perfect parents for her after all! her story is inspiring! Amazing girl! See if there are any volunteering opportunities that might work with her physical limitations by looking online at volunteer match. Maybe answering phones or sitting at a receptionist desk for an organization could work. Joining a book club or how about taking her to bingo? Churches might have some young adult activities. Many have websites now so you can check on those. I'm not really sure, but hospitals seem to have volunteers running the visitor desk. She might like that atmosphere since her dream was to be an MD. Not sure if being there would be risky health-wise? Micheals offers craft , cake decorating and sewing classes.

Lovely thought about adoption -- so many kids, not just babies, need loving supportive homes. I don't have any advice, just am trying to remember something that helped me a while back. When facing a situation with uncertain outcome, and you want it to go one way, but it might not go that way ... instead of hoping/praying for success instead of failure, hope/pray for success if it's meant to succeed and failure if it's meant to fail. I'm sure where ever I heard/read that, it was put more gracefully. Regardless, acknowledging that what I hoped for, might not happen, and I'd survive and get through it, helped me. Wishing them well, and confidence that they will be fine, whatever form their future relationship takes.

I spent yesterday having a fire outside. Sunny all day and no wind. Merry Christmas to all you guys or happy holidays depending on what you celebrate. The gfs has almost turned cold a couple times but today it’s back to a warm pattern. near or above avg for a week and the first week of Jan looks very warm. The gem wants us 20-25f above avg like yesterday. I think we are going to skip the cold this winter. We are having the opposite forecast of all the Canadian weather sites. Currently 6c or 12f above avg in December.
