Why don't you assemble a little photo album, enlarge and frame a photo, plant a bush, maybe make a donation to an animal charity--something in your dear boy's honor. Take care. Thank you so much everyone. Magic was definitely a very special gift. We had no idea when we named him just how appropriate that name was for him. When he was at the vet a couple of weeks ago even she mentioned the "special bond" that Magic and I had. DH has commented on it many times. We don't have kids and I guess I transfer my maternal instincts to our kitties.

In the past, when we've lost one, we had at least one other at home. That isn't the case this time. While others certainly don't replace the one that's gone, having a furry face to come home to does help fill the void. The house feels so empty now. Magic wanted to be involved in (or at least supervising) pretty much whatever I was doing, so almost everything reminds me of him. I keep expecting to see him in one of his favorite spots or wanting to call him.

Cats indeed seem to have a knack for being photogenic and for photos ops. DH and I have noticed that many times.

At some point, we hope to find another kitty to love. Actually we'll probably get two so they can play during the day when we're at work. We decided not to get another when our last one before Magic passed because we felt a kitten would have been a little much for Magic at his age.

All pet lovers understand exactly how you are feeling, and I, personally, am thrilled to hear you will probably find more kitties to love and care for. I am in an apartment and cannot afford the $40 per month to have another kitty, but if I'm ever in a position where I can, you can be sure I'll find at least one forsaken kitty to add to the memories I have. There are so many, many kitties out there without homes. Bless you.

I'm so glad to see your update. It sounds like you're processing it all in your way and that is good. I know it's hard especially with the special bond you have and it's likely to take some time. If not, I understand. I too had a kitty like that and when he died in October, I couldn't take it any more. I got one in December. I love her too! (special hugs to you today)
