help! my poor new sac gone!
Comments (8)I can commiserate with you about the critter situation. My garden has been ruined by deer and moles. When we first moved up to the country I would be overjoyed when the deer would peer into my windows. Since then I have had to be selective in what I planted; no tulips for me but I couldn't forgo my hostas or daylilys. Well they have eaten everything including rose buds. We have always had moles (even with 2 cats) and stopped putting down Grubex as it was a waste of money. Everywhere you step in my yard you sink due to the tunnels. Now I have found out why my 8 year old Henryi seems to wither every year, thanks to Jeanne in Texas, the moles are right under the roots or maybe even in them. I am so disgusted!! My neighbor has a yard full of hostas and the deer leave hers alone. Apparently the have a specific path they follow every night and it is right up my driveway and into my yard. Unfortunately I cannot fence my yard off as I am surrounded by woods on 3 sides and it would cost way too much money. We have tried Bobbex, Deer Off, Irish Spring, malagorite(spelling), coyote urine, hubby urine, human hair. You name it. I am open to any suggestions. I know about the scarecrow that sprays water so I might try that early next spring. The motion detector lights don't faze them either. Thanks for letting me vent. PS I always wanted a SAC but why should I bother when I know either the deer or the moles will destroy it... suebot in CT...See MoreWANTED: Sweet Mercy + More for Your Picks from my Trade list

Comments (29)Linda, your grief is vast right now, as is normal when a loved one passes. I won't say the pain will end, but I will say that bearing it becomes easier and the tears fall less often. It's been 3 years since our precious Pinky passed and while I do cry at times for missing her, it's been 30 years since I lost my love Fanny and I still miss her but the tears are infrequent. Our lab boxer mix Pinky and my doberman Fanny and our dear sweet cocker Buffy will all help take care of Mojo. I thought of you all many times yesterday. I'm glad the day was such a good one. Beer and ice cream and the soft grass. He was a beautiful boy....See MoreRIP My Sweet, Sweet William

And we all never met each other. if I tried to explain this to anyone, they wouldn't believe how much I look forward to your posts when something major happens in my life. I love you guys. It's a strange thing to me how I love you all so much, but never met you. I think we are all in the same boat in this life of ours. and we all feel the same....See More- 10 years ago
