What color would you paint this house?

We are located in Brooklyn, NY, and we are completely redoing our facade with an strong effort to maintain the original "look" but with a personal touch. The house next door (which is the exact same as ours) is all white now, and the apartment building on the other side is some red/grey cement shingles. The house is from the 1850s, and the picture below is the oldest one we have, which is from 1939. We are going to try to match the front door and the gold-lead street numbers above it.

It's worth noting that we live in a pretty progressive/artistic neighborhood adjacent to a more fancy and expensive brownstone neighborhood- our block is quite eclectic and we could go pretty bright without facing any negative feedback (and we are not landmarked.)

What color would you paint this house? We have some ideas, but I'd love to hear people's unbiased opinions! We will likely be using Hardie Board siding, which we will paint, with wood for the trim and porch.
