Need a Sit-On-The-Floor Dining/Coffee table
Comments (3)Well I could build you one but shipping would be prohibitive. Have you considered finding a 'normal' height table with legs that would lend themselves to cutting shorter? What sort of tools do you have access to? It really isn't that difficult. Often all one needs is a circular saw with a good sharp blade, and put one layer of masking tape on the cutline, both of which will give you a splinter free cut. A 40 tooth blade preferably, at least 24 teeth. I say one later because more than that can gum up the sawblade and lead to the edge splintering. A Tablesaw would be better, if ya have access to one. If you find a suitable table and tell me what tools you have access to, I could be a bit more specific....See MoreNeed living room advice - Chairs, coffee table
Comments (67)Julie, Here are the pics of dining room visible from the living room. Need to add drapes here as well. The art can change (if required, but prefer to make it work) and chandelier HAS to change, but would like to keep everything else. I know the rug is small, but it's comfortable and doesn't bother me (I trained my mind because I have no choice lol), so don't want to change it. Atleast for now. Would the Kravet fabric I posted above work in the dining room? Thank you....See MoreOpen concept – updated dining room to old-style living room.
Comments (6)Thank you very much. I figured it would be better to pair back and simplify things. My husband likes the cabinets but I thought about painting them black or grey, if I can't convince him it would be better to remove them completely. Love the idea about the black frame on the fireplace....See MoreWhat would you do to update dining room table. Stain or paint?
Comments (37)Hello everyone. This has been a process. Thrilled with how the chairs turned out. The picture does not do it justice. New webbing, foam and Dacron wrapped seats. We will wait for next year to tackle refinishing the table. We want to use the table during the fall/winter months vs the kitchen counter. Put up a new light fixture (34" from the table) Now....I'm thinking of curtains on the entire back wall as suggested by Beth H. : ...but what color? What do you think about a colored sheer? I do like the light coming through the blinds....which we did ditch the metal blinds.. ran to Home Depot and got faux wood for now. I'll post some updated photos. As always, your comments are truly appreciated....See MoreSochi
