I didn't pull the sofa forward yet, but that's the plan. I've been thinking about a console table behind the sofa as well. But, which one and how long should it be? The sofa is 104" and each piece of art is 42.5" wide.

The chairs color looked lighter rust/orange on my screen. Anything pink or blush is a NO. Husband and daughters are going to kill me if I go with pink :)

I would rather see neutral chairs and add a bit of that coral color in art..pillows or accessories...I just love a neutral room with some contrast and only small touches of color if any...

Wow 104” had no idea so amazing how much smaller things look in images...so room is 20x20 and sofa 104” got it...oh you will need a much larger rug for sure not sure what sizes the one I posted comes in....are you wanting a wool rug? But with the same look as the one I posted?..let me do some searching and post again..:)

Keep in mind if you find a rectangle coffee table you like you can put two side by side..looks amazing this is done often in design..with oversized spaces.

In this big room you can go with good size chairs...what is the size of the chair you are thinking of?

When entering your home and seeing a formal living room, consider a different layout so that the room doesn't seem on display and not for use. It's a gorgeous room and I love the symmetry.

Enter into the back of the sofa with an interesting console behind. The nice thing about furniture is that you can move it around! This plan is 18x18, which means you have plenty of room. Having the sofa face the french doors will make the room cozy and not so intimidating.

Any color will go nicely with your sofa and room in general. Go for a silk velvet or mohair fabric which are classic and lasts forever.

If the room is for entertaining, optimum seating is essential. Ottomans with the lounge chairs, a large bench in front of the fireplace and a bench under a large piece of art on the right of the entrance would obtain that seating and not look overcrowded.

Use the existing art you have - each over the cabinets flanking the fireplace. This gives you an entire wall across from the fireplace for more art or a wall treatment.

Very interesting input. I will measure the room opening and see how the sofa fits. Husband didn't want the sofa's back to the entrance, so I think I ruled it out by default. But the views are great if the sofa faces the french doors.

Oh Lexi the drapes with the trim are going to be fabulous! Would hang them in the living room no question.....They will Go with anything you put in the spaces so classic....I would do a solid drape in the kitchen maybe a solid coral with solid banding in neutral...the fabric you picked would be very nice pillows...

Lexi, when you move the furniture around, you and your husband should sit in the sofa to see how nice it is facing the french doors and not the entrance foyer. It will be so much more pleasant not facing the entrance foyer.

Looks like you have some wonderful accessories and art and it would be cool to have a piece of sculpture on the console as you look into the room.

Lexi what is the measurement of the entrance to your Living Room?

Lexi putting that 9’ sofa across the entrance is really going to block off the room....maybe add a sofa table between the sofa and side wall...will give nice dimension to the room...and will pull sofa closer into room..better for conversation and placement of the 2 chairs....keep me posted

Not knowing where you are located, seems like the view is the focus of the room, even though most people would focus on the fireplace. Consider trying the sofa facing the french doors. Don't forget that you don't have much in the room right now, so it may seem like a wall, but it won't once the room has the window treatments and other furniture and art. A sofa is only about 33" high and your sight into the room will not be blocked. Try to get away from the fishbowl effect looking into the room and make it a room that you want to be in and enjoy.

The entrance is 118". I just measured the sofa and it is 102". I like the idea of putting a sofa table between the sofa and wall.

I like the idea of sofa facing the french doors, but it doesn't seem practical since the entrance will be blocked. Husband doesn't want the sofa back facing the entrance. If we put a sofa table then the sofa + table should be pulled much forward to allow people to go around. Maybe a bench or ottomans? But first I want to get the chairs.

The art is too big to go above the cabinets as curtains will occupy some space.

Would 1 1/2 widths of curtains be too skimpy for the doors? We don't need privacy, so I'm thinking stationary panels. The doors width is 13'

If they are going to be stationary drapes yes should be nice...will they be lined and pinch pleated?........my window are 13’ wide too....and did exactly that...the panel is 75” wide once hung and pleaded take up about 25” on each side...

If adding gold metal touches and bits of black accents I found these shopping for another client and thought of you..a pair of them on a table behind your sofa they would be gorgeous..they are 42” tall so expressive!

Here are the pics of dining room visible from the living room. Need to add drapes here as well.

The art can change (if required, but prefer to make it work) and chandelier HAS to change, but would like to keep everything else. I know the rug is small, but it's comfortable and doesn't bother me (I trained my mind because I have no choice lol), so don't want to change it. Atleast for now.

Would the Kravet fabric I posted above work in the dining room?

I am afraid not that fabric is not a good choice with the rug..love the art...I would do a linear chandelier and repeat the same fabric as living Room but you can do a deep coral banding to bring that color out from the rug..it is so beautiful.... that kravet fabric will knock it down a notch:( it is all over the place Walmart even has a copycat curtain and bedding....

What about this design you pick the colors they have a coral that could be the lower banding?with any color you want on top...

What are your thoughts on this Chandelier? It is so beautiful in person...

You should if you have a big lighting store in your area...It is Kitchler Caslida collection..two of my local lighting stores have it on display..so hope you are able to see it....I think it is 40” long if I remember right...
