Sorry about the missing details folks. I am using RO water for the misting system and the majority of residents in the gh are orchids. Problem is my wife also uses it for "general uses", seed starts, nursing weak plants, etc. I have found some plants that seem adversely effected by the dampness, orchids with fuzzy mold growing on the dry husks of old stalk sheaths and, in one case, an orchid with new leaves that seem to have died back with a dark "rotting" look.....sorry for the lack of precision in my terms. The info that the Fogger wets down the area in its path seems consistent with the promo video visuals I've seen. So far no one has mentioned the Trion unit. It seems that it is made for adding humidity in-line in residential air ducted systems and perhaps could sit at bench level and be directed away from any nearby plants. Also forgot to mention that the gh has two fans mounted on the roof trusses creating air flow 24/7 in a circular path. I'm off the the San Francisco flower show on Wed AM. I did see this! And yes, I still LOVE it five years later. We still haven't begun the 2nd-floor bathroom, aka the 1925 Hall Bath/Faux Master which is our only bathroom on the bedroom level with a clawfoot tub & a shower ring. So the Starting From Dirt Basement Bathroom is still my favorite place to shower. I put a link to our doorbell from Rejuvenation. They have several options but we wanted thin, simple, no plastic and unobtrusive. This fits the bill. The bevel is very slight and the doorbell is very simple. It also has the same backplate as our front and friend's porch door hardware from Baldwin - the square bevel. Also be sure and get the chimes different for both doors. I didn't want an elaborate doorbell and didn't want one that sounded like a computer so we just have a basic ding for the friend's porch and garage door and a ding dong for the front. We put one in the garage because we have a solid door to the garage and with no window in there I didn't want someone to have left the garage door open and come in through the garage and not be able to be heard. The one mistake we made is the electricians put the boxes inside in an awful place (one in the front hall!). I had them move it to my back hall (can still hear in the kitchen) and one by my bedroom. There is also one in the basement but the one in the front hall was supposed to cover the upstairs bedroom area as well. Well we have no chime up there. No big deal because I am rarely up there and we have a big loud dog who lets me know if someone is at the door. I definitely agree w/ the video cameras, here's more ideas: -plant very thorny rose bushes under windows, other places that they could break into your house, or hiding places. (remove non-thorny shrubs that could be used as hiding places) -add _lots_ of "always on" and "motion detection" exterior lighting (both kinds) -add some interior lighting near windows w/ random timers -find out approx. what time of night they're stopping by and re-schedule your in-ground sprinklers for that time (or see if your sprinkler guy can hook them up to a motion detection system) -sprinkle kitty poo (or something just as lovely) in their favorite hiding places -find a local security company that will actually stop by your house in the event of some sort of "security violation" (being caught just once might do the trick and then you could cancel the more expensive security service) -along the lines of the above, hire someone local who can 'catch them in the act' (or catch them on film) -- again, once might be enough -find a very large male friend, roommate, brother, to house-sit on random occasions during the day or night (hide his car, or drop him off secretly so they have no way of knowing if he's actually around) don't hesitate to let him bring his very big, one-eyed, foaming-at-the-mouth dog -put up a fence(s) -take their picture(s) if you ever see them outside your house (carry a small camera with you on walks) -tell your HOA that you won't go against their rules and install the home security modifications that they denied as long as they sign an agreement that holds the HOA board members personally liable for any vandalism that could have been prevented -- maybe an attorney would write that up and send it with a nice cover letter for you? -install more locks (do this anyway!) -schedule your lawnmower or landscaper to mow your lawn/landscape during your highest "at risk" times during the day -tell friends/family/co-workers where you live and ask them to drive by when every they're in the area -start a neighborhood watch group -put 'for sale' signs in the offending kid's yards (maybe someone will stop by and offer to buy their parents houses?) ok, this one isn't serious
