Hard to tell if the color I am seeing is correct on my screen but going by your fireplace stone, I would pick C moles breath, (maybe meant to be since you ordered by mistake!)

I"m seeing five options but only four samples. Of the samples, I like the second, the French Gray.

With the fireplace and the treed view, I like Moles Breath. I think it looks great with the gray stones and tree bark. But will it provide enough contrast with your island? Do you have a sample of it we can see?

I like both A and C. I guess you have to figure out if you would get tired of the moles breath. That is really a weird paint name!

I like C, as long as it goes with the island, otherwise B.

Moles Breath... sometimes I think farrow and ball tries a little too hard with their paint names ;)

I like mouses back and then moles breath. I think the French gray looks tepid (especially against the stone), but if you want lighter and brighter it isn't terrible. I really dislike it with the glaze. (Even though the resulting color is close to mouses back, it gets there in a way that looks grungy to me).

However, I definitely wouldn't make a choice without looking at how they work with the barnwood.

Are you keeping the Wood stain trim around the Windows? This will/ should influence your decision. What about the wall color? Both are really important to design at the same time as the cabinets. How warm or cool in tone do you want the room? Please don't confuse what's meant by warm I don't mean warm and friendly. I mean containing colors from the warm side of the color wheel. I.e. Contains some red, orange or yellow in its mix? Your samples range from cool to warm

I just don't know that I can do that name-- moles breath!! Where the heck did they get that?!? Ugh

everyone has a different opinion........ I agree abt the glaze. I have it now & it does look grungy to me.

Amy, yes. All the trim is cedar. Wall color is BM moderate white. I was trying to stay rather neutral since there are so many natural elements n there.

I'm stumped on this. I will get a pic of the island wood like suggested.

Well, I'm on my phone eating pizza and drinking a local red wine, in central Iowa. Beautiful warm fall day. But I digress; on my phone, the second major color that you have in your 1st image looks like there are green undertones. The 3rd major color sample (dark gray depicted in your 1st image) has rose undertones on my phone. I am not seeing the glazing because the images are so small. I can't read your labeling. I only see 4 major color groups. As I look over all the pics, I like the one on the furthest right. Does that have a glaze on it?

To me the one you meant to order and didn't get, Pigeon, is the one I think you'll find is right. I've used both. French grey is lovely but pigeon offers just that bit more depth and leans bluer than French greys green tinge. I really liked our room in the last house in pigeon. Looked great with our exposed stone inglenook and wall too. How easy would it be to order a sample of pigeon?

I'm home and can enlarge the images on my computer. I still like the one on the furthest right. The dark gray is my second choice. Both these pick up the tones in the stone.

french gray with darker glaze or last one on sample board...i know glaze can be fuzzy/dirty looking but i like it with the rustic tones of the stone...i just think it goes...is the fireplace the focal point of the kitchen?? its beautiful BTW!!!!

I can't say about the French gray, in one pic it looks like the right gray & I like it but in all other pics it looks like vanilla white. The far right color -- mouse's back -- I like, but again don't know if I am seeing the true color or not.

I'm afraid that the French grey will come off as pastel-- like an ice cream truck.

He uses a varnish type paint so it will not be an exact match to these samples - just trying to narrow down an tone. I think this second batch of samples are too green/blue except for the SW hardware.

Enduring, DH wanted this entire place in wood. Good thing budget called for sheetrock!!

What will your countertops be? I wonder if you pick a darker cabinet color with the dark barn wood island, and the wood floors, the whole kitchen will read too dark. What will lighten it up?

Yes, based on these latest photos, the French gray is far too dainty.

I think you're looking at the paint samples in the wrong context. Any color you have there coordinates well enough with your fireplace. But the cabinets will not be placed up against the FP, will they? I think you should be looking at the samples in the kitchen with the island barnwood, wall color, counter material and flooring.

I like SW Hardware.

I like the SW Hardware. It seems warmer than the other choices and goes better with all of your natural wood.
