8 years agoI sent the screen shot to my email so I could upload it from my XP machine. I don't know my way around Win 7 and I couldn't get the screen shot.
What concerns me is I can't open FireFox at all. As soon as I try I get the Malwarebytes screen. I haven't run a scan but my husband thinks he might have but isn't sure.
I'll try this again,
It worked from XP doing the same thing I did on Win 7. I clicked the 'photo icon' and uploaded it.
Anyway, hopefully you can expand it so you can read it. It sounds so complicated and since I can't open FF I'm not sure what to do. I uninstalled FF and reinstalled but I only get this screen when I try to open it. Appears legit, not sure why it took over the browser.

Comments (45)tkme4ard, you actually want a layer of clay at final grade, right up against the foundation and running out 2 or 3 feet. Properly sloped away from the home's foundation and into the landscaping, it works to remove water from the immediate area of the ground to foundation "joint" for lack of a better word. Clay is way more water resistant than fill soil or garden soil, no matter how any of them are graded, You can top that with mulch or river rock or your choice of permeable material and then place your foundation plantings in front of it...say two feet out from the home. You don't plant into it, close to the foundation. As the foundation plantings mature, you begin to not even see the strip. We get rain starting in October and it seems to not stop until June. Temperate rain forest is how my area is described. Demand the clay layer be replaced at completion. One of my first homes, years ago, bought for rental needed the perimeter drains replaced. This was a 1,200 sq ft raised ranch. I dug it by hand, took me two weeks and cost me the cost of pipe. All four sides, four to five feet down. Last year we had another one, hired a contractor, he did it in 4 days and it cost slightly under $15,000. This was a fully buried basement so deeper, they tore everything out, wire brushed the concrete, sprayed the black goop (hey! I didn't do it or I'd know the name), dimple screened it, put in proper perimeter and rain drains, wrapped and drain rocked and filled it, clayed it and graded it. That price includes all new rain goods all around the house as well and its a bit larger home. Looks just like the one I did by hand for probably $300. Just a bed time story for your hubby. Comments (24)Why would one keep the screen or cabinet door open when not in use. I am of the opinion that television screens are not attractive. Many people go to lengths to hide them including cabinets with lifts that go up or down so the television is not on view when not in use. I deliberately built a cabinet to hold my television during my remodel which acts as a large room divider between my office and the more formal part of my living room. It has what I call a stripper pole television so the television can be viewed from both sides and there are doors on both sides to disguise it when not in use. There is a television on the market which looks like a large frame - literally - and so it displays a piece of art/photo of your choice. So it looks like framed art instead of a television when not in use. My bedroom has a standard wall hung television but that's my private area with the wall visible from the bed. People routinely pull drapes or shades up or down and perform other acts so not sure why shutting a cabinet door is more of an issue. Is this screen in fact a rare antique. There are a lot of reproductions of items or even vintage items that are not particularly valuable and it's not necessarily a blasphemy to alter them from their original purpose. For me, it's solely an economic, functional and aesthetic decision. Comments (17)Sorry that you cannot unscrew the aerator. Instead of removing, fill a ziplock with some white vinegar and fasten it to the faucet to soak the end. I was concerned about being at a loss for a word a bit ago. It seemed to be happening quite often. Maybe it wasn't. I tend to worry lately. Thankfully, I have no problem expressing myself now. The words are there. Something happened today and my new landscaper probably thinks I am an addled senior. I thought the landscaper was coming today to mulch and weed the garden beds. I had it on my phone's calendar. When I called him, he said the work was scheduled for Monday, May 24. I was baffled that I had the date wrong, so not like me to be wrong about scheduled stuff. Then my husband asked me what day today is. I told him the 21st. Later he told me that he thought it was the 24th because I was expecting the landscaper. He also said that the landscaper had changed the appointment to May 24. Really, who knew or did I forget, not likely that I forgot that. It is also unlikely that I forgot because the work is to be done at the riverhouse. I do long range planning to organize our comings and goings between the riverhouse and home named the woodhouse by my grandchildren. I think that my husband received an email or text from the landscaper informing him about the schedule change and he did not tell me. There are so many pages like this. I won't bother showing any others unless you want it. Frankly, I don't know where to begin. I don't see anything weird on his taskbar and not sure if I should delete those programs or what. I can't access Firefox at all.
Thinking I might be better off uninstalling Malwarebytes, Firefox and trying to reinstall them both. I find it very strange that Malwarebytes took over Firefox.

8 years agoHave you tried closing that tab by clicking on the x of the tab (in the red circle)? Also by clicking on the + sign beside it should open a new tab. I often have several tabs in that bar so I can return to a previous page.
