Really pretty stone! Would you consider a painted grey vanity?

Grey hadn't even been on the horizon. Not sure I can get DH on board with it. Let me think on that one. Thanks for the suggestion!

I think I would do white.....easy to change the color scheme down the road.

White, gray and black are all neutrals and would make change of color easy either way. The gray would look very slick but between white or black, I prefer the black. The reason is it makes all the colors around it more vibrant and that countertop would be stunning on black. We have an oak cabinet in our guest bath that was in too good of shape to replace, so I painted it black. My husband was not on board at all but left the choice up to me. The counter is white, I painted the vanity black and added some pretty chrome hardware. Afterwards he was amazed at how it complimented the room.

I would go with an almost-black grey--the tone of the darkest streak in that beautiful stone. But I would have the inside pure shiny white. It will look clean, be easier to see that I keeps clean, and nothing can hide in a dark corner, because there are no dark corners. If you change your mind, you do NOT want to paint over a dark interior. Also, it's your retirement home, and I am rapidly becoming familiar with the need for stronger lights, reflective surfaces, longer arms...keep the inside white.

Charcoal gray.

My quartzite is quite similar and I did white. Love it.

Chloenkitty, your kitchen is beautiful. May I ask what you used for the sparkly backsplash? That might work in my powder room.

It's a very pale blue milk glass from Susan Jablon. I liked it because although blue, it's pale and neutral. Almost every color goes with it, yellow, orange, green, pink, purple, red. I get so many compliments on it, I love it. Here's a close up

The white looks really pretty with the quartzite! Very classic - hard to go wrong with that choice.
