Some photos of the garden

Plenty of critters afoot! When taking the dog out early one morning, I came across this guy:

It's a completely harmless checkered garter snake and the first one of its kind I've spotted in my yard. I've come across plenty of the common garter snake in the past, though. This spring I spotted a Mexican milk snake (or so I hope, didn't get a chance to take a photo nor remember the color bandings).

Ragna, here's a photo of my largest Moringa tree. How is yours doing? I've tasted a few leaves from it and it's not bad.

Here is a photo taken this morning of one of my beds with more than a few volunteers:

And signs of fall in the garden:


... the lycoris lily (aka hurricane lily). There are two more stalks that haven't opened yet.

Finally, a shot of one of my container plantings of zinnias. They have grown huge and flowered non-stop. I'm really impressed by these.
