Here're some photos of my gardens to share.

This is my bromeliad corner. Iknow it's not Cottage, but the setting is quite rustic so it still belongs, don't you think?

Here's my Rangoon creeper and the Agapanthus below it. Both are grown in my "cool" garden.

And here's my "morning coffee corner" in my "hot" garden, also featuring Rangoon crepper, ground orchid (white) and vinca.

Thanks for sharing; it is always nice to see how gardeners from other countries design their gardens and what flowers they use. Yours looks very peaceful and serene. A great place to enjoy having a cup of coffee or hot tea in the morning; cocktails with appetizers in the early evenings, and maybe dinner by candlelight. What kind of weather are you getting now? Temperatures?

Thank's You all ! Barb, It's been a few years in the making to get it to that point. As You all know It takes so much patience! My Peonies are just barely taking off ! I told myself what was I thinking but to late I planted many. I hear You are known as the Red Daylily Lady ! cool ! We know the Maryotts very well! Can't wait to see you're daylilies next summer ! ( PJ, I can just about guess my Garden to be it's best around the last 2 weeks of April I was told to really pay attention as our gardens change I started doing that and it has made a difference. I am just starting to map out my Garden so I can remember what I planted. My husband back in the late spring wanted to go out their with a pitch fork to loosen up the dirt! Thank you all for a nice words! #5 is a Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Special Variegated', I love it too for incredible neeedles look. Mike, I have some Lawsons too. In this #5 photo left side is Ch. Laws. 'Filip's Goden Tears'. Was damaged a bit in the first winter, bet now it is happily recovered and looks nice... Irena

Pippy: thanks for your interest.

My "cool" garden is in Dalat, with Alpine climate year round. Lowest temperature is in December, about 60oF, and highest is now April, about 80oF during the day.

My "hot" garden is in Saigon, a tropical region, where temperature never gets down to below 80oF. Right now it is boiling hot, when we have over 90.

I like it best when we have rains, from around May to end of October.

Xuan, I think I was confused. I thought your "hot" and "cool" gardens were in different spots in ONE garden, but it sounds like you have 2 different homes? So which is the garden that has the great patio overlooking the mountains. Is that in Dalat? Do you find you can really grow such a different selection between the 2 gardens with the different climates? That must be so interesting.

Your gardens are beautiful. Do you have room for all of us to come for coffee?!?! LOL! What a great spot!

Thyme: Yes, we have two different homes, 300km apart, the one in Saigon is our main residence. The patio overlooking the mountains belongs to the home/garden in Dalat.

Actually I'm growing two sets of plants in two different climates: in Saigon I keep what thrive in high temperature and in Dalat I have cool-lovers. But I also have some plants that can grow in both climates such as hippeastrum, orchids, jasmine, zinnia...

If you ever visit Vietnam, I'm sure I can make room for you all to have coffee in my gardens :-). Positive about that!

Hi Xuan, once again you've brightened up my morning. You have such lush beautiful gar*dens. Your Ragoon Creeper reminds me of the Fuchsia 'Boliviana Alba' I once had, is your Creeper scented or is that just wistful thinking on my part :).

It's a knock out! I LOVE that Rangoon creeper and am jealous of how hardy it is for you! Everything is so wonderful and lush there Xuan!

I love to read your posts and see the pics! Such a gracious garden that beckons people to be still and enjoy the beauty. Even looking at the pics makes my morning seem more beautiful!

Love your gardens as usual.I have some of the same bromeliads that you have,and my epiphyliums are all in bud now,just wish their flowers lasted longer.Do you have any epidendrum orchids?? I have several colors of those and they bloom year round here in s.calif.

Xuan, I love your gardens, was showing the pictures to my neighbor, Tan, thought he would enjoy them; he has been to Datan, says it is beautiful and always cool. He has a very nice garden here in Texas as well as a patio greenhouse, we trade plants as well as fish.

Xuan ~ It is always wonderful to see your lovely gardens. They always make me want to get outside to do more work in my own. What a lovely spot to have your morning coffee. I like all of your different rooms and areas. All inviting and refreshing.

Spectacular! I love how lush everything is- and peppered with wonderful bright colors! My favorite is that Rangoon creeper. Sure wish I could grow that.
