Do you know what part yet? I was born and raised in Atlanta but moved here to the north Ga,blue ridge mtns 10 yrs ago.Love it here. mo-girl,those chairs are mint green.I also have lavender, blue, red and green.along with a couple of swings.(one is lavender to match the chairs)yep, sit alot, lol actually newbie in nj,I don't plan anything.I just put things where I think they should go,lol.I am trying more and more to keep the colors separated so have to transplant some. All except for the cottage garden-there any color goes. I think I have let my larkspur reseed too much and next yr.will pull some of it up. I bought those roses from one of my neighbors-11 of them.He has had it for over 50 yrs and roots cuttings and sells them.I am going to try this myself for they seem to root easy for him.I also sowed some seeds from hips but havn't run across them yet, lol. I am trying to get some weeding and pruning done this week.It has rained and cooled of some, then I will take some photos that will look better.lol.I got my holding bed weeded and need to transplant.Last yrs ws'd plants are looking great. weedsmakemecrazy,I am not sure I have a secret, lol.I HOS everything and I plant close.I am going to try to get my mulch down as I weed each bed. That will help keep down the weeds. Comments (20)THANK YOU everyone for your very nice comments. This is the first I was able to check back, and was I ever surprised. We are located 40 miles north and a little west of Harrisburg in a rural community. We are surrounded by farmland which they no longer prepare the 'old fashioned way'. It is now done by the no till method, and until the crop is somewhat mature the fields look ugly to me. I am of the generation of laying in bed, late at night, listening to the John Deere tractors putt, putt. I will post some close photos of the little house/potting shed, and some garden areas. The fourth photo background plant is a 'Karley Rose' grass. It is a favorite. When the dew is on it in the morning, and the sun comes up, it looks like it is wearing diamonds, as does the Smoke Tree. A lot of the daylilies found a good home, but over several years the DL bed became taken over with thistles. I contacted the county extension agent and he said in the DL bed they would be practically impossible to eradicate since they are a perennial. The daylilies were planted on a grid of 24" with not much room to work and it became such a chore I gave up on them. I am glad to say the thistles are almost non-existent, but being surrounded by fields they will always make their presence known, (along with a zazillion dandelion), but controllable. The agent though I might have gotten them originally from mushroom mulch. I will try and post more photos tomorrow evening. My DH and I are now making a wind chime with 8 chimes. I found the directions on the length of each chime and I marked the Conduit accordingly. My DH did the manual labor, but I would have tackled it if he had not taken pity on me. It is almost ready for it's unveiling. It sounds great with 3/4" tubing and the longest is 24" and a fraction long. Thanks again. Jane...See MoreSome new photos from my hot garden
Comments (9)Thank you,Thank you, kathy, for the gorgeous photo of the Daylily. Its beautiful,I love that eye and the edging around the peddles.I will be on the look out for this one too.Thank you,,More please, :) The roses are gorgeous too,Love Marilyn Monroe,Never tire os looking at this one,and I don't have a single bloom on mine right now.Yout Hot Cocoa holds up in the heat, and mine wilts bad in it,and looks like a Burnt dishrag in a few hrs.And Maggie is great,She don't mind the heat at all,but mine has very few leaves on it right now.It has rained and rained and then hot,and BS has got them all.The leaves has turned yellow and fell off.The Hibiscus is so pretty, too.I use to have about 15 of them in all colors, but got tired of trying to find places to put them in the winter, and got rid of them. Now I want Just Joey, hes gorgeous. Thanks for sharing all your beauties.Love it. Jean...See MoreJust some garden photos...
Comments (16)Jajoana great job editing your hosta. I should be doing this as I keep losing tags and forgetting where everything is in each bed. Yes Josepine, the Ligularia is such a beautiful plant . I leave on the flower shoots and have started many plants for various spots in my gardens and collect the seeds , then give away . I see plants at our local nurseries for $18 for each plant ( small one to boot) , I supposed I did pay that too. This year the leaves are huge and the sun rays show the beautiful purples of the back sides of leaves. Gold Standard is the most gorgeous hosta too Hope you don't mind that I post a picture close up of my ligularia. Everyone needs one or two of them. Too bad the sun was not shining through. The rock behnd it is 4 ft tall...See Moreplantkiller_il_5
