Thank you all very much! Jerome- Larmarque has always been very top favorite rose. Like Audrey said it has such nice clean blooms and the smell is a wonderful sweet citrus scent. I also just love the green apple color of the leaves.Very well behaved climber. Krista- Duchess de Brabant has grown very quickly for me. Always covered in blooms. Denise- Thank you for the complement...I too just love that birdfeeder, got it at our Flowertown Festival 2 years ago but I wish I spent more and got the larger birdhouse instead as now that vendor hasn't been there since...got to remember to go with your gut and just buy it when you see it. Audrey- I have Ducher too but I got lucky as she was sent by accident so they told me to keep her and I love her. Very clean, nice rounded shape, and a citrus scent similar to Lamarque. I love white roses but they are hard to get full bush shots as the white seems no matter the time of day is bright and it just doesn't show up very well. Here is mine... bebemarie, well I finally had some time to actually go and look at your album and think your flowers and photos are stunning! The Apolline is just lovely and the Narrow Waters has an etheral look about it. The Buff Beauty is also lovely and I can't wait for mine to gain some age and wisdom! I mentioned that I am pilloring it and have a few canes wrapped around the pole so far. They are a little stiff but if I don't wait too long (like I did for the first one which, to my horror, broke as I bent it - yikes!) they wrap just fine. I also have a potted Lady Hillingdon which I hope to put in the ground soon - when I get around to making a spot for her (and all the other roses in my pot ghetto that don't have homes yet!) Lynn

Xuan, I love your gardens, was showing the pictures to my neighbor, Tan, thought he would enjoy them; he has been to Datan, says it is beautiful and always cool. He has a very nice garden here in Texas as well as a patio greenhouse, we trade plants as well as fish. Thanks again! OGRose

THANK YOU everyone for your very nice comments. This is the first I was able to check back, and was I ever surprised. We are located 40 miles north and a little west of Harrisburg in a rural community. We are surrounded by farmland which they no longer prepare the 'old fashioned way'. It is now done by the no till method, and until the crop is somewhat mature the fields look ugly to me. I am of the generation of laying in bed, late at night, listening to the John Deere tractors putt, putt. I will post some close photos of the little house/potting shed, and some garden areas. The fourth photo background plant is a 'Karley Rose' grass. It is a favorite. When the dew is on it in the morning, and the sun comes up, it looks like it is wearing diamonds, as does the Smoke Tree. A lot of the daylilies found a good home, but over several years the DL bed became taken over with thistles. I contacted the county extension agent and he said in the DL bed they would be practically impossible to eradicate since they are a perennial. The daylilies were planted on a grid of 24" with not much room to work and it became such a chore I gave up on them. I am glad to say the thistles are almost non-existent, but being surrounded by fields they will always make their presence known, (along with a zazillion dandelion), but controllable. The agent though I might have gotten them originally from mushroom mulch. I will try and post more photos tomorrow evening. My DH and I are now making a wind chime with 8 chimes. I found the directions on the length of each chime and I marked the Conduit accordingly. My DH did the manual labor, but I would have tackled it if he had not taken pity on me. It is almost ready for it's unveiling. It sounds great with 3/4" tubing and the longest is 24" and a fraction long. Thanks again. Jane
