Drought tolerant is the only way to go here in Central Texas... after my first love of painting, I'd have to say Trompe L'Oeil that will come in handy for my linen closet drawers.
My next project: Getting rid of the bamboo. I'd like to think that had I known more about bamboo at the time of buying this place - it would have been a deal breaker. This is going to be a costly undertaking.
About me: Now that I'm moved, who would have ever guessed it would have been to an old RR building where the entire yard is a compacted gravel parking lot. The full 3/4 acre. Focusing on building raised beds for the next couple of years since I can't dig into this ground.

Commented: Help putting in new mailbox! I hope you use your old mailbox somewhere in your yard. They are great to store your clippers and other hand gardening tools, especially if you have a little shed nearby, it give the tiny house look.
