Hi Ya'll! I haven't been around here lately, been SO busy with my orchids & flower gardens- the heat is on & I'm racing to get mulch down! My brugs aren't much to look at yet, they are getting established, and will probably bloom in the fall. Hope you enjoy!

Your flowers are just beautiful!
What is your trick to getting your orchids to bloom?
I have a Sherry Baby and it has bloomed once in the three
years I`ve had it.

Thanks northspruce. Actually I bought it at a greenhouse and it was approx 2' to 3'long at that time, paid $3.00 for it. I've started them from seed before and they start easy and grow fast so you have to have a support. This year I planted it at the base of my clothes line which is about 12' high and wrapped some netting around it. They seem to open white and then turn purple. Will have to check it tonite. I see that I still have some work to do on properly focusing the camera

Thank's You all ! Barb, It's been a few years in the making to get it to that point. As You all know It takes so much patience! My Peonies are just barely taking off ! I told myself what was I thinking but to late I planted many. I hear You are known as the Red Daylily Lady ! cool ! We know the Maryotts very well! Can't wait to see you're daylilies next summer ! ( PJ, I can just about guess my Garden to be it's best around the last 2 weeks of April I was told to really pay attention as our gardens change I started doing that and it has made a difference. I am just starting to map out my Garden so I can remember what I planted. My husband back in the late spring wanted to go out their with a pitch fork to loosen up the dirt! Thank you all for a nice words! #5 is a Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Special Variegated', I love it too for incredible neeedles look. Mike, I have some Lawsons too. In this #5 photo left side is Ch. Laws. 'Filip's Goden Tears'. Was damaged a bit in the first winter, bet now it is happily recovered and looks nice... Irena

I love your orchids too but they don't love me, lol. Its just too hot and dry here. I have a couple as houseplants but can't get them to bloom in here and can't keep it humid enough in the greenhouse.

Very pretty Kasha Love your orchids...I wish PB would let us open the pics...I would like to see the ee's in the pot...They look to have a neat color on them? Nice flowers...

Kasham great plants. I like the Lamb's ear and that red canna, is it canna tropical red?

Hi Gang-
Karen- I killed a few orchids before I succeded- you just have to give them morning light, set them on trays filled with stones,just enough water below stones, for humidity, fertilize with orchid food, & let them go dry before watering again- I have learned to restrain myslf! LOL! I get them on the clearance rack- the flower is a surprise to me when they finally bloom!
Siam- I'm not sure which canna that red is- got it from a lovely neighbor- she'd leave me a surprise plant near her front fence when I'd walk by in the early hours- & I'd drop off one for her too! Fun!
Rosepedal- I will try to get a close of of my EE- it's Alocasia Ilustris- I think some call it Black Magic- the photo doesn't do it justice! I just planted it in my garden, nice! My brugs are doing well- no flowers yet, but will post photos when they do!
