Last night - Maxie made my shut down!
Comments (6)Love that fluff Lilo! He's the Maximu(mest) Don, you made me think of our cats. So much so, last night was data gathering for son's project and I made him lock up the paper on which he wrote down the times! Cats and paper. Used to be my recipes handwritten generations ago they ate, but I put those away now....See MoreI swept my patio while I had a chance... See how long it lasts!
Comments (7)My neighbor is building me a nice "Hosta Display Shelf" in a couple of weeks. It'll have enough room for up to 5 large hostas (as big as my Albomarginata) so I need at least 2 for each side as I plan to put my Wheee on it as well with the Albomarginata in the middle and raised pedastal. Hilltop Farms said theirs are $11.50 in quart containers. So I will probably buy 2. I don't know what I'm getting yet. Whatever strikes my fancy. I am just looking at some but I make no decisions until I see them in person... So who knows what I'll actually come home with? I am thinking the display will either go where the albo and the mama mia are now or right in front of the patio... Not sure yet. Oh and WW, tuition, books, etc are covered by my financial aid grants, scholarships, etc. So I am fine!...See MoreI have had a very 'WILD' last few days :-)
Comments (9)bonnieblueyes- Your photos are wonderful! My favorite is the 2 birds sitting on the tub. Looks like they are kissing. How sweet! And your flower photos are beautiful. The snake and bug pictures....well the photography is great, but my goodness, I consider myself to be fairly brave in the face of most bugs - I can squash 'em with the best of 'em. However, when the bugs begin to approach the size of a small bird and they have hair of their own and small things that resemble horns....things change. YUCK!!! I get the heebie-jeebies just looking at your snake and dragonfly photos (again the quality of the photos is fantastic, but the yuk factor simply got the best of me). As for reptilia ....let me just say - NO!!! I adore anything with fur (okay maybe not bugs with fur), I can tolerate things with feathers and fins...but ANYTHING that falls into the reptile category (except for garden toads) HAS GOT TO GO!!! YYYYEEESSSSHHHHHH!!! However, I think it's very kind that you took that stray turtle to your pond. Let's hope he eats up all those ugly bugs. Comments (23)I don't normally bother to count but am trying to take notice of what I do every day, like give myself marks out of ten for the quality of the dinner I made (never better than 8 as I am more of an arranger of food than a cook!) and keep a diary. It helps to exercise my brain. The count I did for this thread was helped by the local library, listing in alpha order the titles I have borrowed, thus warning me of anything I have read before in the last 5 years since the program was set up. After some 60 years reading adult books, there is a huge possibility of re-reading, as you may imagine. However I particularly like Golden Age mysteries and can still find some authors I have overlooked. Netla, did you ever get a copy of 'Penhallow'? I recall that you mentioned that you wanted to read it....See More- 10 years ago
