One side of pepper plant yellowing and dying?

I asked this question in the pepper forum too:

One side of this pepper plant seems to be dying. From top to bottom the leaves turned yellow and fell off and the little branches look like they are drying up. I checked there is no breakage of any stems.

Here is a picture, Sorry the color is off. This was taken a few days ago, its worse now:

and here are the stems:

the leaves yellowed like this:

Why would this happen? The plant was growing very well and looked very full and lush and putting on flowers and fruit. Then suddenly changed without notice. Is it over watering? It can't be under watering, the last week I have watered well. All the remaining plants in this area are doing well. This is a Peri Peri plant. Just next to it is a Brazilian Star Fish which is doing just dandy.

I have a picture of it from last week because I wanted to post it to show how well topping had been for this small plant:

Is there anything I could do to help it recover?

Thank you for any thoughts.

K.
