Checking on plants referred by nursery employee - please help!
Comments (5)Shrubs I have had good luck with in shade are: Variegated Privet--much prettier than the invasive common green one which I don't recommend at all. It adds light color. Several varieties of Holly do well. Nandina's did very good for me, the secret to keeping the large types nice is to stagger the trimming. I had some in sun and shade and both did well with good color. Yews Rose of Sharon does surprisingly well in shade and will bloom. Azaleas need a lot of deep soil prep and moisture. Add a lot of peat moss. I couldn't make them work with tree root competition. Euonymus, the variegated varieties add color interest. The large type Viburnums. V. sieboldii and V. lentago (nannyberry). Nannyberry will grow in dry soil. Underplant with red Ajuga ground cover and you can have red/green/yellow for definition, various heights and color interest along with easy maintenance and create an evergreen(& ever yellow/red) border....See MoreHow do you feel about background checks/last month's rent?
Comments (28)personally i feel discriminated. Did it ever occured to u that the majority of people who have criminal backgrounds are accused unjustly? did it ever occurr to u that the majority of these people were young at the time of the crime....and made bad mistakes without using their intelligence. we all make mistakes....the important thing is change.Everyone has the right of another chance...especially when u really want to change ur life around...i've never comitted no crime....but i'm married to a man who has a horrible past....criminal back ground...bad childhood...but if u meet him you'll notice that its impossible to believe that this man has done anything. My husband is a good father...a good friend....a good husband....and a good adopted son....he's not perfect...but he ain't the devil either...hes just made bad choices....i don't blame him because of his childhood...but i don't see what hes done....cute. i understand him...this man has changed his life around....he has lost so much....but he has gained as well...i believe god gave him an opportunity because hes sees what inside of this mans heart...who are we to judge so blindly...the most sad thing about this is that because of what hes done in his past....we are having trouble finding a house to rent....i've been through so much with this man to know what this man is really about...and i don't understand how naive people can be to just sit there and judge...instead of sitting down and try to find out what exactly is going on.we are good tenants alwayz have been, just trying to give a better life for our two children.....so before u decline someone, take the time to think how would you feel if someone rejected you without hearing your side first...because when i look at the eyes of this man it hurts me to know that its killing him and hes feeling unworthy...and he is worth much more than what people think.....See MoreBackground Check
Comments (10)When I was a chaperon for the church high school kids to go to Appalachia a few years ago, I had to have a background check which also included checking the child and elder abuse records, etc. Chaperons had to be in pairs to take the kids anywhere and if a chaperon was going to the showers, we had to make sure more than one kid was there. These background checks are run every 3 years. It took a while to get used to these rules because these were kids we knew well and knew their parents. It protected the church from liability and also protected the kids from potential harm....See Morepremier pools employee
Comments (14)Sacman- Here is the article from the link. You know you can see the locations where offenders live in areas, think it is on a megan site. I was so "pleased" to learn that a predetor was living literally across the crosswalk from one of the local kindergarten classrooms. Thought you could not do that??? You would think the authorities would have some kind of mapping alert when one of their pervs comes up near a school. And this perv was not just the usual "lude behavior with someone under 14" which could be anything, this perv had forceable attack with violence. Sometimes I wish big brother was watching a little closer. CBS13) Police say Jose Galindo, 36, a man accused of molesting children in Sacramento, was very close to getting away. "Oh this is huge," said Det. Dean Lawrie, Sacramento Police Department. Police say Galindo is facing seven counts of child molestation, but have not released any information on who the victims are, or where the crimes may have happened. "He is a great father. He's a great brother and that's how he is," said GalindoÂs sister, who didnÂt want to be identified. CBS13 learned the address police say Galindo lived, is also a daycare center, run by his mother. Galindo has an extensive criminal past that includes an arrested on a different child molestation case in 1992, which was eventually dismissed. Galindo was employed by Premier Pools in Rancho Cordova, doing construction at homes. However, he was hired as an illegal immigrant. When Premiere Pools was contacted and asked about the background of GalindoÂs employment, they released a statement to CBS13. It states in part: "We do not hire undocumented employees. Premier Pools routinely does reference checks, DMV checks, and drug testing." The statement from Premier Pools never addressed Galindo's specific past. Police say when Galindo found out he was wanted, he made a run for the Mexican border. A sharp customs agent got suspicious, and ran GalindoÂs fingerprints. Agents immediately learned he was wanted. "It was unbelievable. It was basically by chance, because they told me they do not check everybody leaving the country," said Det. Lawrie. Within 30 hours, he was back in Sacramento. Bail for Galindo has been set for $1.3 million....See Moremoonie_57 (8 NC)
