Does this EVER happen?
Comments (7)As a matter of fact, there was a bright yellow drop of liquid that I noticed when her wings were closed - most of the time when she was perched on my shoulder. I believe I saw this drop emerge two or three times during her stay with me. So a newly emerged BF huh? Wow. Interesting considering that when I picked her up, we were set up on a downtown square, next to a curb with a busy highway on the other side of that sidewalk. There just wasn't much vegetation around. But, I guess they don't necessarily need that much do they? I was so concerned that with that much traffic nearby, vehicular as well as foot, she'd easliy be hit or stepped on. That's why I tried to pick her up in the first place. Neat to know she was just a newbie. Hope she didn't mind the 40 mile relocation!! Thanks so much for all the info! What an amazing moment I was fortunate to experience!...See MoreDoes anyone else ever feel completely clueless?
Comments (4)I think everyone experiences this feeling at some point or another. I went through the "just when I think I have figured outs" so many times it was crazy. It is a learning experience every day. But most importantly it is a getting to know your worms. I have 3 large mega populated bins. (yes it is time to split the bins again) and each bin is different. Those worms may "LOOK" alike but they all don't necessarily act alike. I have a bin that loves to stay around the bottom. I have a bin that is fast as greased lightening to get to the food. I have a bin of pure food pigs. Stop trying to second guess yourself. For everything you do right then there will be worms that just kick up a fuss anyway. Some things you will do wrong and the worms will still survive. Enjoy the learning curve and just go with the flow. Stay tuned to this site. Trust me all you could EVER need or want to know is here. This became my "go to" site everytime I had a question or doubt. Don't feel like you have to have a worm cam going on them. They will be ok, trust me. You will KNOW when things aren't good in wormville. They will pack their bags and head for the great out of bin. Have fun. That's why we all do this....See MoreHas this happened to anyone else?
Comments (6)happymomof2kids, I know from my experience as you have probably read, I found that from using 1/2 TBL liquid HE Tide and others was the culprit along with the fl washer not using enough water to rinse, I too didnt notice suds in the wash cycle as much as I saw in the rinse cycle, but after using tide he for about 4 months I had alot of soap buildup from using it, even Charlies soap using it for 2 months didnt change performance, I had switched to gain reg powder and it seemed to do better on the clothes, but I had quit using soap all together for 5 months on my towels and there was still suds untill I switched washers, I have no problem now. I also ended up with really stiff towels, but finally I have nice soft towels again. I dont remember what washer you have but I bet its not getting enough water to rinse the soap out....See Morehas anyone else ever lost their decorating mojo?
Comments (15)Lake girl, my hugs and deepest sympathies to you. I lost my mom in 2010, but after the worst of the grief, I found her again by spending time doing the things we enjoyed together and bringing her along with me in my heart. As Mitch Albom says, when someone you love dies, you don't end your relationship with them, it's just that the relationship changes. Re decorating mojo, I think even most plants need a resting period before they can bloom again, so it is with decorating. And when you come back to it, it's with a fresh and welcoming eye. I've kind of stopped my projects too, diverting myself with the wedding veil and now a dress for myself to wear. So the creative process continues, but just in a different direction. But after 7 years of house design and 3 years of building and another year of landscaping, I think it's time. I will get back into it though via lists. I need to wander around the house and start making lists of thing, big and small, that need to get done yet. I still haven't made the drapes for the DR, and there's that small strip of wood under the door in the FR that never got painted that annoys the heck out of me, and I want to try and faux finish the grate on the stone wall by the wood stove.......See Morerealcocacola78
