Need exterior paint help

This is the house we are remodeling. We have decided to paint the exterior. My fiance hates the colors. House is located in arizona.

I don't think the two tone paint looks good. I would prefer the whole house to be one color and the trim and the decorative shutters if we keep them to be painted the second color.

We were thinking maybe a light gray With either a dark trim or white trim and then a red front door.

A few ideas from house that have looked good are porous stone, calico rock, and summit gray .

Any help would be appreciated.

Here is an idea picture but not sure the colors would looks as good since it is a different style home. People think this is calico rock

Any ideas or opinions would be great. I'm a little color blind so not the best at picking these. I also don't know if white trim would be a nightmare to keep looking good or would be a benefit since it commonly get 110+ degrees here

I also have no clue how the shingle color would mix with differect colors

I bet that dark paint gets roasting hot in Arizona! I like the idea of lighter colors, and I'd paint the garage door the same color as the body of the house.

Thank you for the ideas. I was originally thinking of painting the garage the same color as the trim, but will consider matching it to the house

I think black/charcoal trim will be too stark of a contrast. I would do the sage green that you posted above with the bottom "white" of your paint samples, which looks like the softest white...and closest to all of your inspirations.

Your light gray colors are the wrong tone. the ones you have listed lean a little pink/taupe. your stone is more tan/golden. if you go w/something too light, it's going to look washed out. these are the tones of your stone. This evergreen fog color would look great w/your shake and the stone. I love this color on your garage doors (so some other sage green color) if you want light, try the neutral ground on the siding w/the tan shade on the trim. or vice versa. darker grays that have that green/brown undertone. all of these pair well w/the stone. I love the black w/the wood idea. Iron Ore or Wrought Iron. no cedar shake, but this has the stone facade w/the dark colors and trim so you get an idea. Your cedar would actually lend a lot of warmth to the party. if you want a little warmer, what about these? (Copper Mountain on the front door) Caramelized on the trim, the bronze on the siding. Urbane Bronze is another nice color for the siding. either of the two light ones for the trim/garage door,,,Cajun for the front door. Any of these Protege Bronze, Urbane Bronze, Nettle or Nocturne will give that dark shade, but since they all have brown undertones, will work well w/the stone and the cedar. Some other neutral tones.

You could paint the house all one color warm grey and then keep the window frames and the garage door white.

It looks like your roof is more in the brown/beige tones so I would stick with that for the house....not gray. I think a warm taupe would look nice, garage door the same color. The trim....off white/cream or a dark taupe depending on the look you prefer.

Have you used the visualizer on the SherwinWilliams or Benjamin Moore website? They were helpful to me. I wanted either a pink or red front door. On the visualizer I realized purple was the color for me. I am not finished painting but I am happy with my color choices.

Here in the SW you have to be careful with the muddy, grayed paint colors because they look like primer, not the final coat.

You can not go wrong with white - it's actually a bit 'on trend' around here right now. White with skinny trim in either a darker color to go with the roof or a darker color of the body color. By skinny trim I mean it's just the line at the roof line that's painted, all other details up to there are painted the same as the body.

Thanks for the help. Can you recommend a good white to check out? Would you paint the garage the white house color or the trim color for contrast?
