Now, what makes it even more strange, is that when you sent me your reply, and I clicked on the link, as expected Firefox opened it, but when I scrolled down to answer you I had to log in again, but this time it wouldn't accept my information (User/Password)so I went back to IE and entered the site name, computer am now replying. No, the Dell tech made sure IE was default in all categories. That's what we thought originally that somehow an area had not been checked, but IE is the default. BarbB

I looked at the page and it looks legitimate to me. MS gives huge discounts to students. The other domains in the page source are ok also. Digital River is used by many companies for digital software downloads. w3.org is the World Wide Web Consortium. The other sites in the list box are just sites MS is using for other countries. I've downloaded commercial software in the past and I've learned to burn a CD or DVD as soon as I get it downloaded. I install from the CD to ensure it's a good copy, then put it in a CD case with a label that includes name of the software and the license key (as well as anything else I might need to know the next time I change PCs or have a hard drive crash).

Google used to have a utility to sync Outlook to Gmail mail, calendar, contacts, etc (and then Google can be connected to Apple devices) but it pulled the plug a few years ago. When it did so, I stopped using Outlook, it didn't really add value for me. When using an internet connected PC, web access doesn't provide a significantly different user experience than using a local program anyway. This article might provide useful information. If I were you, I'd keep it simple to avoid problems. Can you get by with having your calendar on your PC and phone? You can always manually "sync" any two systems that offer export and import functions but I don't know if doing that regularly could result in duplication of entries. I guess you'd have to try it and see.
