I think the rug needs to be a different color and bigger size. Too much of the grey in the room. I like the first rug Beverly posted.

That does look pretty cool thank you, and the pillows would work too. But there is a den within eye shot of great room and it has a spa/Aqua sofa in it that he sold me when he said I need to bring Aqua/teal into my decor. I think I am stuck now with Aqua as the accent color. I was thinking of a rug for the great room with a green-teal grey and I could pull the yellowish green color In too, but I think I still have to play on some teal in the rug dont you?

The rug matches, but it doesn't add anything special to the room. I would use a larger rug in the space.

I don't think I can go bigger on the rug, mayb pull it an inch or two over the outlet plate. But there is the kitchen island behind with counter stools and need a walk path leading into master bedroom right off great room

Do you think the first rug you suggested will still work with the dining chairs that are right behind the sofa. it is a charcoal grey damask. The rug I have km d of ties to the chairs

With regard to the rug running parallel to the media cabinet. It is now 8 x 10 with the 8 ft side running parallel to where media cabinet will go.

It's hard to tell without an over picture of the area, but so far it seems to me that the 10' dimension should run along the length of the media cabinet.

Do you really need a rug under the dining room table? I like your tile. What about charcoal sisal? Otherwise you will have to work to coordinate both rugs.

I think and hope I can return the rug. I personally like the look without the rug vs with the current look. So what about a simple sisal rug and then do color in a chair and lots of teal accessories It to me is cleaner and more calming I like clean vs busy So what about a natural fiber rug in a light color They do a lot of that here in florida

i think the rug you have from the sales person looks very understated, elegant and sophisticated. And I love the aqua color sofa in the den and how they go together.

Thanks but think I am moving more toward a sisal rug for great room area. The current rug is nice and elegant but too blue for me. I think I like simpler and will go with a pattern chair maybe amd more pillows with teal. To me the rug is too different and too blue from the den sofa that is more green teal. Bothers me too much. What do you think about a sisal rug. Very big in Florida

I have a chair upholstered in the fabric your salesperson suggests for your chairs and throw pillows. I love the fabric and the many different shades of color within it. I also have a small hammered metal table next to the chair as an accent. Look forward to seeing pics if you use the fabric which I think would look lovely with your sofa and allow many color options as far as accessories, art, etc....

Regarding the area rug, I think you can do better, don't settle.
