High Humidity in Air Duct air after Compressor goes off
Comments (3)one other question ... when i set my Fan on AUTO ... the fan runs for about 1 to 2 minutes after the compressor shuts off ... just long enough to increase the RH in my ducts to a humid 75% before shutting off the airflow ... Is there a way to tweak the electronics so that the fan actually completely shuts down exactly when the compressor shuts off? That would keep the air in my ductwork a dry and mold inhibiting RH of 45% Thanks for any ideas...See Morefyi-rh's hardware is on sale again
Comments (7)Oh sayde, I remember your mirror problem. Last time I popped into a store I was even looking at the mirrors thinking of you. Good Customer Service goes a long way, but companies don't seem to realize that bad customer service info travels like a wildfire. I wonder if in their new catalog (the one with the un-upholstered) furniture, if they have mirrors that don't have a mirror in them, hmm...maybe you should get some sort of credit for that design! I posted this because a couple of weeks ago some people were looking to buy some hardware for cabinets (including me) when it was on sale, and then poof, the sale just disappeared. So, when I saw it again today I thought I'd share the info. But how about their 800# not working--it was bizarre. That kind of makes it hard to even contact customer service....See MoreDo These Fabrics Play Nice?
Comments (21)Ttodd, I have a number of issues with your conundrum. First, it annoys me that you are planning on doing instead of wishing........that is, sewing, instead of just 'talking about sewing'. I've been 'talking about sewing' for 6 months. What possible reason could there be for Actually sewing? Ok. Now that I've vented about that, on to the next thing. You are loving the juxtoposition of the Silver Sage across from the Baby Turtle. As Patricia pointed out, the Dry Sage is not that far off from Restoration Hardware's Silver Sage. I can't say enough about how much I like my Dry Sage Entry in close proximity to my own Baby Turtle. But I have no ability to put drapes in my Entry. Therefore, I see no reason for you to have drapes. Ok. Now that we are clear on that........let's talk fabric. As you may remember, my drapes on the Baby Turtle are in Waverly Concord in Bronzine. Bronzine is a mix between a moss green and a bronze green. I wonder what color your LR drapes are? Hard to tell from the pix. Buuuuuuutttttttttt..........I ran a little of my own Waverly fabric against my Dry Sage walls and can totally see how that would be unexpected yet perfect. Question is, of course, would the toile with the blue be just as perfect on my BT walls? And.........would the patterns visible from close spaces create a continuity with sharing the same colors, or would they just look like two different patterns trying to work near each other? Now, on this, I'm torn. Patricia not only has a very Silver Sage-like color in her own home, and is like, the smartest person in the whole world, and she says "Ttodd.......don't do it! Step away from the toiles. Don't mix toiling and painting!" Is she correct? Will the patterns fight? Are you doomed to one pattern and one texture? Will Rhett come back to Scarlett? I just don't know. Cdworkin is thinking they will not only play well, but also be amazing in the rooms. Is she right? Again.......not totally sure. My feeling is that they just might be perfect. But just like in painting, I totally think that the only sure way to work with two fabrics is to try it. Or maybe I will try it. I just might have time tomorrow to head to Harts, the most amazing decor fabric store ever, and check out the blue toile. They let you check out fabric samples and take them home. But if you have the samples, (I have to assume you do not have a sample of the Colonial Spa, or you would have done this already) you can throw a half yard or one yard piece up against the window and see what you think. Once upon a time when I was looking for master bedroom window fabric, I found the most amazing paisley ever in terra cottas and paprika and cream and gold and green. I was over the moon happy--almost bought all the yardage I needed when I found my fabric---but my innate worry over getting stuck caused me to check out half a yard, bring it home and pin it up at my window. Up close it was awe-inspiring. From the doorway..........it was mush. No definition between the colors. Red...See MoreC wire needed for new thermostat
Comments (3)The Rh is to power the thermostat for heating, and the Rc is the power for cooling. Since this is a cooling only application, you only need a connection to the Rc terminal. Do not connect the old R wire from the wall to either of the adapter wires. You need to disconnect the old R wire from the Rc terminal, and connect one of the adapter wires. The other adapter wire goes to the C terminal. The old R wire could be connected to Rh without the jumper, or keep it disconnected and cover the end with tape so it cannot short to any other wire. I recommend you keep it disconnected and covered. If that does not work, then you may have to install the jumper between Rh and Rc. Consult the Ecobee installation manual about the wiring for applications that are cooling only....See MoreNothing Left to Say
