For anyone who is considering purchasing anything from RH: I did my whole bathroom in RH. The mirror on the medicine cabinet is losing the silvering along the bottom. Three years post installation. RH refuses to acknowledge that this is a defective mirror and blames the problem on cleaning the mirror with "solvents" (which I have not used).

Have purchased many products from RH over the years and spent thousands with them for the bathroom. Will never buy another RH product. The combination of poor quality (not every product but how do you know when you buy) and terrible customer service is a show stopper. Obviously I am disappointed and angry.

Oh sayde, I remember your mirror problem. Last time I popped into a store I was even looking at the mirrors thinking of you. Good Customer Service goes a long way, but companies don't seem to realize that bad customer service info travels like a wildfire. I wonder if in their new catalog (the one with the un-upholstered) furniture, if they have mirrors that don't have a mirror in them, hmm...maybe you should get some sort of credit for that design!

I posted this because a couple of weeks ago some people were looking to buy some hardware for cabinets (including me) when it was on sale, and then poof, the sale just disappeared. So, when I saw it again today I thought I'd share the info.

But how about their 800# not working--it was bizarre. That kind of makes it hard to even contact customer service.

Surprised they still make cabinet hardware. I thought you were supposed to just gut your kitchen and leave it that way.

I recently bought lights there. I went to the outlet to get some towel bars and although some of the quality was good, their furniture pieces and vanities were pretty rough. I'm not sure if it was all rough handling from shipping but the damage was pretty evenly distributed. For the prices, I'd return a lot of it, too.

I've seen you report on your horrible product and customer service issues before, Sayde. I'm sorry for that. Hearing your story, and those of others who had a bad CS experience, would make me think twice about ordering from RH now. Thankfully, my kitchen full of their high-quality pulls is happy and putting right along. When I visited a store in November, I wasn't impressed with a lot of their other products either.....

Breezy's pulls are beautiful. I think there are certain things that would make me take the "risk". And Breezy's pulls are one of them. I was looking at just a couple of really beautiful polished nickel knobs for my butler's pantry. I only need 6 for that piece. So, I figured it's not a huge "risk". Plus with something small, I'm sure marching into a store with it in hand to report a problem to someone might get some sort of results. Especially when there might be a customer nearby who is sitting in the deconstructed dining chair and getting splinters in their hand while touching the dining table, listening to the salesperson say "Oh, I don't think you can get splinters from that table"....hahahahah
